I remember playing tennis on a Japanese famicom in my girlfriend's apartment and thinking it was the greatest thing ever. AND IT WAS.

Long live Nintendo.

That's the one. The Super Famicom rocked as well. Luckily, when my machine died, all I needed was one minute with a hot screw driver to permanently alter my SNES console to accept my Japanese rom cartridges also.

I was tempted to get a 3DO but I was an Amiga fanboy back then.

Which replaced my CDTV ( Which still looked 100x cooler).

I had the amiga for 2 weeks before I got the 3DO,, it was like day and night,,, some of the games that came out for 3DO were just amazing and WAY above the competition! The $799 sticker is what killed the 3DO !!!

I still have one with 40+ games . Its one of the best systems I have ever owned, much like NES , Dreamcast and PS2 !

Dream Cast was the bomb, especially the Neo Geo games that were ported over. Unfortunately, the build quality for the laser assembly wasn't the greatest.

So? I already asked you what the next game was that everybody will get excited about, Mario, Zelda, Metroid? This is basically the only game the Wii has released that is worth playing so far this year...and it is just more Mario. Nintendo is so stuck in the past that it's ridiculous. The third party games are lame at best. For every good game there are 100 that simply suck. There is MAYBE one title every quarter that is worth buying. The console itself is old tech...basically a Gamecube with a motion controller...and a controller that is over-hyped, gimmicky, and doesn't work as well as it should. The Wii has become just an expensive toy for 5yr olds, Wii fit nuts, or old nostalgic people who can't get past 1999.

I still have that with 2 controllers, the gun, super mario brothers and duck hunt. The first game I later bought for it was golf.
This thing has been in boxes in storage for the last 4 moves. I'm gonna dig it out and play, for I'm sure it's an oldie but goodie. :D

Wrong !

First of, why would Nintendo change anything when they still sell more hardware and software than the competition!? They have exclusive rights to the most popular videogame character , so why wouldnt they use it and improve it and release quality first party games that still sell ?
YOU judge a Mario game cause you havent played one since 1985,,,, but if you would take some time and actually try (and beat) Mario Galaxy 1 (or 2) you will realize that Its very challenging and more than just a game for a 5 yr old.
You are entitled to your opinoin, but the fact that your opinion is based on Nintendo-hate without any actual openminded judgement, makes your opinion less credible.
Wii is a lot more than just a GameCube with motion controller. First of, the graphics are a step above, while not 1080P HD, theyre still HD. Plus the WiiMote is MORE accurate than what your xbox forums tell you. You need to try the games before you pass judgements on them buddy. Funny how both Sony and MS are copying the motion control idea for their future add-ons....
And add-ons is exactly what Sony and MS will be depending on the next 4-5 which by then Nintendo announces and releases yet another successful console.

I love my PS3 ,,,its a very powerful system with many amazing games and features. BUT , the fact that they dont have a decent platformer that would come close to Mario Galaxy, is the reason I will always have a Nintendo machine handy, for as long as they keep producing great Mario & Zelda games .

Mario is a kiddie game. No teen in their right mind would choose a WII when they could have a ps3. The WII customers and the ps3 customers are different, thus they aim for completely different markets.[/url]

That was a typo.

And look at the games they got. Last time I checked, WII hadn't a lot of blood and shooting involved, and was more about health and social stuff. The ps3 is the complete opposite.

I have that very same one. I play Baseball Stars about once a month on it. The American Dreams are still pretty tough to beat.
