I have that very same one. I play Baseball Stars about once a month on it. The American Dreams are still pretty tough to beat.

But, they didn't have to. When the Wii first came out there were high expectations for FPS type games, like Call of Duty, or sword fighting games, using the wii-mote. But, the console hardware is so dated and the wii-mote so inaccurate, that developers ignore the console in favor of the PS3 and 360...and the Wii is an after-thought with some bone thrown together because so many people have it. Zelda and Metroid showed that good games could be made but that is NOT what has happened. The Wii hardware desperately needs an upgrade....and I don't just mean the remote.

For the same reason Atari should have changed in the mid-80's.

They have exclusive rights to the most popular videogame character , so why wouldnt they use it and improve it and release quality first party games that still sell ?

I didn't say they shouldn't. I'm saying they should put some effort into getting third party games released on their consoles. For the other consoles, there is something worth buying every release. That's not true for the Wii, and hasn't been for a couple years now.

YOU judge a Mario game cause you havent played one since 1985,,,,

Are you really so ignorant? The last Mario games I bought were on the Gamecube. Mario Sunshine, Mario Golf, Paper Mario. The only Mario I have for the wii is Mario Kart...which I'll probably never play again after I get ModNation Racers on Tuesday. I don't like platformer games that much in general anyway.

but if you would take some time and actually try (and beat) Mario Galaxy 1 (or 2) you will realize that Its very challenging and more than just a game for a 5 yr old.

I know that it's more then a game for a 5yr old. I also said it was game for those who are nostalgic and can't get past 1999.

You are entitled to your opinoin, but the fact that your opinion is based on Nintendo-hate without any actual openminded judgement, makes your opinion less credible.

I don't 'hate Nintendo'. If I did, why do I own both a GC and a Wii? I just am not so blind by being a fanboy that I don't realize that %99 of the games released on the Wii are absolute crap. The GC had better games released for it and it wasn't even that popular of a console.

Wii is a lot more than just a GameCube with motion controller. First of, the graphics are a step above, while not 1080P HD, theyre still HD.

That's just not true. Even if you get the component video cable, the graphics are NO BETTER then the GC at 480p. So, unless you believe that a DVD is "HD", then you are absolutely wrong.

Plus the WiiMote is MORE accurate than what your xbox forums tell you.

I don't own an Xbox or go to video game forums in general.

I do own a Wii and I *KNOW* from experience how frustrating the wii-mote is in FPS games. If it's not so inaccurate, why did they come out with that booster plug-in thing, and why are they coming out with a new wii-mote for E3 this year.

You need to try the games before you pass judgements on them buddy. Funny how both Sony and MS are copying the motion control idea for their future add-ons....

I think it's a waste of money and time, nobody is going to buy them anyway.

And add-ons is exactly what Sony and MS will be depending on the next 4-5 which by then Nintendo announces and releases yet another successful console.

LOL. I bet Nintendo makes an announcement of a new console before E3 2011. They'll have to so they can have an excuse to rerelease Mario Kart, Zelda, Metroid, and more Mario....because that is obviously all Nintendo is capable of doing.

I've been hearing about people using the Wii to watch Netflix. Anyone here seen this firsthand? I didn't think it had enough memory to stream correctly but people on FB seem to be loving it.
