These are the songs that I think are overlooked a lot especially when they say Journey is cheesy or whatever. It's too bad really; these are pure, old school rock and roll...

Tell that to this guy. Apparently in 1994 he thought he was Journey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY1LSm9K5fI

Ah, it was sweet to see him, though. Love the tone of his voice.

If you are, you really shouldn't speak of SP with disrespect because even though I believe Neal = Journey, I don't think they would have gotten as famous as they did without him... Which I don't really know if that is such a great thing because they sure paid a price for that kind of fame. Anyhoo, SP is in a league of his own so maybe you shouldn't refer to him as "that guy."

Should we start the Neal Quote machine now, when he talks about how Steve brought all the success to the band or how the band needed to find someone that sounds like Perry?
Neal's Journey equaled getting threatened from a record label that your ass is getting dropped if you don't hire a real singer.
Neal's Journey equaled having shows performed with a tape recorder because some band leader was too greedy or scared to walk away from the money that was on the table and tell Azoff, enough is enough, the singer is toast and we can't tour.
Should we mention that the only successful Journey album since the departure of Perry had to include eight songs co-written by Perry in order to sell enough to make platinum?
Of course, we really don't have to mention any of these things at all but since it was felt that Perry should be included in this thread, why not expand upon it a little, right?

Neal = Journey.
Don = responding to someone else's post who thought we should introduce Perry into the thread. Neal is your Journey. Mine is Schon, Perry Cain and Rollie. To each their own.

OTY, SHML, ATL, WCN, I lump those four together as such amazing signature Journey songs.

Schon is on the credits for only one of those songs. Can you guess which one?
