I don't get it. I don't think she's talented, attractive or humorous. She's just freakish. I don't like a lot of what Christina Aguilera wears or does but she's a fabulous singer. Gaga is just annoying.

Yeah, i get Christina because she's a strong vocalist, and really hot...not sure about gaga... seems like there's something really messed up going on with her (and what's with the hermaphroditic rumors ...if she's not, no need for her to be ambiguous)....that said, she is no question a force to be recon'd with in modern pop music...but I'd take Christina any day of the week and twice on Sunday from a total package perspective.

Gaga is very talented. I have her Cd, and I have to admit she has an ear for catchy melodies and hooks when writing songs. To co-write as many obvious hits as she did on her CD re-released with bonuses is really pretty amazing. And she will sit down at the piano and sing them acappella with ease. Very beautiful and unique tone to her voice. What she has done for for the dinosaur music videos is another thing. I have no problem with her performance art. It sets her apart. The problem is she's now believing her own hype and carrying it too far off the stage and red carpet, and into public displays of boorish behavior. It will be interesting to see what her next album brings and if she can carry the momentum, which she says the next CD will have more depth to it.

Re Christina. Her vocals are amazing. That's why I have all her new ballads as my signature. She can sing any genre. I bought her new Deluxe Bionic and she's getting bashed by the critics for it. But one reviewer said it all. Many singers try different genres but are said to be original, when in reality their vocals are limited and basically will always sound like themselves. Whereas, Christina can be a vocal chameleon and has so many different shades of tone and range that she can experiment if she wants to and why not. Bionic is like two albums, stunning ballads, very understated for a change also in delivery, and then many really fun, sexy, and sometimes a little raunchy, Electropop songs where her voice is really unrecognizable on some song, autotune and such, and then just some flat-out pop dance songs and even an R&B and a progressive song written also. I love all the different genres in the CD. And most of the songs (except the ballads) don't have the obvious hook to be radio hits, but that have the driving electronica club beat I like, which grows on you after more listens.

The difference in sound, delivery and substance between Beautiful and Candy Man are perfect examples of Christina's versatility.

You're so right. And this song, I'm OK, from the Stripped album, which is a deeply personal song she wrote about her abusive father. It was a hard song for her to sing b/c of the subject matter. She recorded this song in one take lying on her back on the floor of the studio. Stunning. And has only performed this song one time live b/c it's too hard for her emotionally.

Thanks. It's one of my favorites of hers. I guess that's why the critics are so harsh on Bionic b/c they feel she's better than electropop songs, where her vocals are really in some instances not recognizable with auto tune and such or just some over-the-top sexual vocals overlaying a dance beat, and feel those kinds of songs are for singers who aren't very good. My feeling is it's a catchy album and has more than enough ballads and other songs to show off her vocals, that why shouldn't she experiment, if she wants to. She's only 29. Several of the songs are too juvenile, but I have to admit, for summer, they are catchy enough that I even listen to those, too.

Judging from this video, I think she would take you more than twice on Sunday and you might not come out alive. LOL
