I know.........but the point is that art is part of all learning. I know what it is like to be told, "What can you do with art?" "What a waste of time and money!" "Do you really plan to do that for the rest of your life?"

When I draw at the coffee shop, I actually have many people say that I wanted to learn how to draw, but my folks said it would be a waste of my time. So they tell me of the dead end job they did instead. They were miserable. Then I had a woman come up to me the other day and said............(I thought this was so sweet, and it embarased the crap out of me   ) "YOU must be SOMEBODY! Well I know your somebody...........but I mean your someone special! What is your name?" So I told her. She said for you to draw like that, you must be someone great! This is the second time this has happened.   What do you say to someone like that? I know she meant she loved my drawing. She gushed over it for a long time. A lot of people do. It makes me happy they enjoy it, and find happiness in it. It makes me even happier for those who gave it up to say, you know I am going to try again, just for fun.

Sometimes, art and music are about enjoyment. Put a price tag on happiness.

Perry must be pretty smart.....look at the automated monthly paycheck he created for himself.

I wouldn't be surprised if he sent an anonymous email to Schon giving him the heads up on some cheap off shore labor in the singing department.

Do you really think he found Arnel on his own, or is it ok to talk about that?

No. JSS was already history. You forget Jeremey was inbetween or overlapping JSS at the end before Arnel.

You're right. Memory is a bit fuzzy, but I thought Neal had discovered AP just before firing JSS, not necessarily hired him yet.

not putting music on the same level of core subjects. my point is there is a direct correlation in fostering math success with introduction to music. i know all to well well the budget crisis our schools face, i have 12 furlough days so far. vouchers are for private schools, doesn't help the working class, but that is an entirely different debate.
