Seriously..??? His shouting got old real quick..and after you got past the shouting...he was about funny as a bikini model with crotch-rot...

Dennis Wolfberg was another one-trick pony...once you got past his cunnilingus excercises, he was god-awful...

Both guys died early, and that was sad...

Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy were pretty funny

How witty is Bill Burr? His skill is so unbelievably natural and the talent of comedic arguments mixed in with logical humor makes this guy one of the best of the business. He just keeps going and going, coming up with this stuff on the DIME and it's just pure comedic gold. ALL HAIL BILL BURR.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBKvoIe0xRs
Bill Burr on the Yankees World Series victory.

" ..and I can't wait for the Yankees/Red Sox again next year. It's almost going to be as exciting as Friday the 13th part 9. Oh my god, is there still a psycho in the lake? I love a league where it's the same 4 teams every year it's absolutley fantastic."

So awesome.

I used to be - long ago when he first started to become known - I thought he was hilarious... even saw him at a comedy club once... but it wore thin pretty fast. He wants to be Jim Carrey so bad its pathetic.

Stephen Lynch is one of my favorites. Travis mentioned Bill Burr ^^... there's a funny guy. Been digging him since he first showed up on Comedy Central years ago.

I have so many I couldn't even name a fraction of them... I met a bunch of the crew from that show Last Comic Standing at the Improv once... some really funny people came off that show, most have been featured on Comedy Central specials, etc. Alonzo Bodden was one of my favorites from that show.

Eddie Izzard, Dane Cook, and the obvious classics like Carlin... all on my top list.

I agree about Regan - he does have great material, but can be a bit much after a while. Jake Johannsen is another I posted that I like.

The one's you've named are very funny as well, except for Cook - I just don't find him funny at all. Maybe because I know someone that acts just like him, and he's a huge jerk... :)

Izzard is a genius...

How could I forget... Mitch Hedberg.

That dude was funnnnnny. I saw him live just a few months before he passed. Not the best show unfortunately, due to his substance problems. He went onstage that night loaded right out of his mind, and it was just sad an embarrasing to watch. Such a shame what he did to himself. He was just starting to "make" it.

Agreed. Dane Cook is the most overrated comedian of this era. Maybe one of these days I'll get the Dane Cook craze and bring myself to laugh at him for once. Dude just doesn't strike me as funny. Same goes for Jeff Dunham.. didn't crack one smile with his stupid puppet bullshit. Not funny to me.

THAT bit has been a running joke with my sister and I since I can remember.
Well will just randomly bust out Eddie Murphy lines in the middle of anything.

"I work hard, to get my place bootifoo... and then the motherfucker come over and rip the steps down... "

(yeah, I was watching/listening to guys like Murphy and Carlin when I REALLY should not have been.... I knew the "7 words you can't say" before I ever knew what half of them meant... )

I bought one of Breuer's dvd's a few years ago. He came to a comedy club here, and a friend of mine ran the club at the time. My wife and I were able to get backstage and hang out with Jim after the show. He was hilarious, and we had a great time. :D He's very down to earth, and believe it or not, is a big family man. We talked to him for quite a while, and were laughing at some of the stories he told us about working on SNL. Very cool night.

And Melissa, I'm not trying to hit on you here ( just making an observation), but you have beautiful eyes! Just sayin'.

That is awesome you got to do that! Yeah he is hysterical, I died laughing at his last TV special, "Let's Clear the Air" I think it's called? When he talks about coming home drunk and eating the peanut butter and then his daughters all come after him and what they do, it's hysterical

You're welcome. It was very cool hanging out with him. We also got to hang out with Michael Winslow (the black guy from Police Academy), and he was SOO different from what you would expect. When he's onstage, he doesn't wear glasses, acts goofy, and is loud and hilarious. Off-stage, he's a very quiet (almost shy) guy who wears glasses, and is quite the intellect. He was very cool though, and we probably hung out with him for 10 minutes or so. Very gracious and humble.
