Bon Jovi Concert Tickets: $15; Parking Fee: $46

Postby Voyager » Tue Aug 03, 2010 11:23 am

I picked up cheap nosebleed tickets to see the second night of Bon Jovi with Kid Rock at Soldier Field for $15 online, so we made the drive up to Chicago on Saturday to see them. Rude awakening at the parking lot: $46 for a car, or $121 for a limo! We were like - WTF!?!? This is the first time I ever paid more for the parking than for the concert ticket!

They made a million dollars on parking for two nights! I wonder how many people drove back home and missed the show because they didn't have the cash? Out of almost 100,000 people over two nights, there had to be a handful. Highway funking robbery! I wonder if the price of parking is that high all the time?

I know times are hard, but there should be laws to stop people from gouging like this.

Good show though... last night of the tour. We still made out much better than paying $80.00 or more per ticket.

Caught me before I edited.

Yeah, it was a killer show. I'm not a huge Bon Jovi fan, but I like road trips and rock concerts.

I hate to say it, but $46.00 does not sound shocking to me, although, I think it should!!
It's very comparable w/the shows, games etc., that I attend in Dallas. Owning a parking lot is
the way to go ... glad the show was good!! They added a show in Dallas, too!!

I bet if you look at the big picture, you would get more for your money from the parking lot than the Jovi concert, so I dont see anything wrong with this

I want to know if 10 years from now will they be charging $100 to park. I drew the line at $25, I will not pay more than that. At some point everyone is just going to stay home.
