I never understood why anybody would smile in their license picture...I can't think of ONE place that one would hand over the I.D. that is a smiling occasion...I can just imagine getting stopped by a cop, the cop looking at a smiling license picture.....then looking at a crying patron behind the wheel and saying, 'This doesn't look like you...get the fuck out of the car. NOW!!!"

We're actually not allowed to smile in our DL photos here - expression must be 'neutral', can't open your mouth or show your teeth (same as passports). My husband and I both had to renew ours this year and we both look like criminals! Worst DL pic I've ever had.

I was so tickled that it actually came out nice and look...BOOBAGE!! Then again there was an older male taking my pix. Maybe I perplexed him with my chocolate juggies! Also, this IS the Bay Area, we smile at almost anything and everything! With the exception of me and my bone-headed baby brother, most of us San Franciscans are high! *snort*!
