I don't hate it...I'm just picky. I don't neccesarily dislike christian music....I just don't like it all in my face. Kansas was a christian band. I LOVE them. They took a more philosophical approach with the topics, than a religious one....Creed was christian. Guardian, Adriangale were both pseudo-christian bands. LOVE both of them....it all depends on the 'in your faceness' of the lyrics....![]()

Love that band...My favorite of theirs is "Top of the Mountain".

Barren Cross (Bruce Dickinson sound-alike) was a favorite of mine, and Atomic Arena was one of my favorite rock albums for a long time. It's a masterpiece.

It was amazing how so many of those bands were kinda targeting the sound of popular secular bands.
Barren Cross (Bruce Dickinson sound-alike) was a favorite of mine, and Atomic Arena was one of my favorite rock albums for a long time. It's a masterpiece. State Of Control was also very good but suffered from slicky-overtrebbly 80's style production. Would love to hear it remastered.
I love early Whitecross (RATT sound-alike), but my favorite album of theirs was Equilibrium. It's excellent song for song.
Does anyone remember Trytan (Rush sound-alike)? I looked them up to see what they were up to these days. Singer Lary Dean seems to be doing well and having fun!
Here he is doing some Evel Knievel stuff on a dirt bike.

They do sound a lot like Ratt but I don't think it was intentional. That said, Rex Carrol was/is a much better guitarist than Warren DiMartini. Always thought he sounded like a helluva combo of Eddie Van Halen and Yngwie Malmsteen.

Never heard of them. Is their stuff OOP?

Well, I wouldn't call them fakers..

Bullcrap...Their first three albums had several good songs, though I can't say any of them are amongst my favorites. This last album was pretty good straight through, though.
JSS Rocks! wrote:I do remember Lary Dean.....I had both Trytan's cd's and on the back was a phone number to call to book them...I called for the heck of it and it was Lary Dean himself and he told me Trytan was no more. We did talk for a while...Very nice guy...

That's definitely going to happen. I'll get him to bless some holy water for me while I'm there, too.
