Frontiers|Can't Tame The Lion (bit of fun, check this out)

Postby StephenWJ » Wed Sep 29, 2010 11:05 pm

Hi Guys,

In keeping with the TBF record postings we seem to have been posting lately I thought i'd put this up, especially as I was just recently listening to an audio bootleg from Osaka of Journey doing this with Stevie A.

Usually I try to only post high quality audio or video, same as J. This was bootlegged by a trader from our HOB New Orleans show on 9-23-10 though and thought i'd show you a clip of CTTL seeing as I was just given links to the full bootleg myself.

Hopefully you guys will enjoy, I'm glad we're doing this while Journey aren't - its pretty much my favorite tune - especially as a guitarist. Sorry that its a Megaupload file, but its a pretty small MP3, so humor me and check it out!

Dude, I already got your selling point. Why don't we just name this forum Frontiers, the wanna be Journey. Post your stuff on You Tube. People from India and China will probably mistaken you as the real Journey and the real Steve Perry... :D

Maybe delete this forum and the Steve Perry forum altogether? The upstairs forum is good enough for all of the music chatter with the exception of the Styx Forum, where they pretty much stick to topic by fighting about Styx vs DDY 24/7.

Journey, nor Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Def Leppard plus many others really need an individual forum anymore. Let them use facebook to promote their bands, just like most of them are already doing anyway.

A lot of the forums seem to have petered out, the top one is where all the action is at. I've already started posting the Journey news there instead of here, as well as info on other bands. That's where stuff gets seen at least.

I have to be honest and admit I don't know how to run a website like this and don't know the difference between having a lot of forums and one forum, for all I know my suggestions could be totally Idiotic from a operational standpoint

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that not reading threads that don't interest you was so difficult :)

I'm pretty sure that there's enough disclosure for cognizant humans when you name the band Frontiers and they advertise "performing the music of Journey." That said, what the fuck is your point?

If that's the case then he can go suck a fat baby's dick. Jeremey has a writing credit with Journey, met, auditioned and performed with them and plays their music. I think he/they has more than enough feathers in his/their cap to post videos here.

My take on the situation.
This person's a Filipino who's concerned about Jeremey's band getting more notice here than the current band's lineup and deflecting attention away from Arnel fronted Journey, at least in the particular forum anyway.

I have read this person's back posts and I think my analysis is correct.

Totally agree.....but I think that is what was being insinuated with his/her post.

I actually enjoy Jeremey and the boys more than what is now Journey....not that anyone asked.

Until Journey releases something new, I'd rather see Jeremey's videos here that actually feature Journey music than Youtubes of the band's current singer performing Dan Hill Covers. When Journey gives us some new material to look at, the forum will go back to discussing the current band again, pretty simple.
