Haha...that's what I was thinking, too. Everett must just be kid...to get this excited just being an uncle-to-be. What about the day he gets the news about a baby of his own   .

I've had very few moments in my life that surpassed the Red Sox winning the World Series in 2004, after 86 years of futility. My son being born surpassed it by more than words could ever convey.
I love reading your posts ...straight forward, bold and fuuuunnny!! But this has to be my favorite, I
think I watched you turn to putty right before my eyes!! Tear!!

PS~ You're not old!!

Thanks for the kind words, MG. My little man turns me to putty every time I'm around him, which is really saying a whole lot, because truth be told, I've really never found children remotely interesting. None of them (including my own) are half as intelligent as their parents think they are, most of them are obnoxious, and some even smell funny  but there is definitely a paradigm shift when the child has your DNA.

Mine being born was the best day of my life, and she's still everything to me. She moved to Virginia recently, and I drove her up there, and that was one fantastic road trip. My daughter and me, for a 23 hour, straight through drive. Leaving her there was the very hardest thing I've ever done. She dropped me off at the airport, and I was a friggin mess. I gave her a big hug and walked into the airport with the heaviest of hearts and tears rolling down my cheeks. It was one of those life changing and defining moments that I'll never forget.

Man, I can't even imagine having my own child in that delivery room one day.I won't be able to keep myself together. I've always been a sucker for kids and always found myself the one toddlers and young ones lock on to. Before you know it, I'll have a whole army of kids surrounding me ready for what I can come up with next haha. My girlfriend can't walk two steps without admiring babies within a 5 mile radios. She's baby obsessed haha. Of course, I took her to the Pittsburgh Zoo on a hot summer day this year, and low and behold, it's baby day. I'm out there admiring the Siberian Tigers and the glow of their beautiful coat in the shining sun, I look over and she's staring at babies, lmao. I'll be one of those dads that goes to Toy's-R-Us during the holidays and put everything I could possibly fit in the buggy. Something to look forward too minus shitty diapers. 8)

I LOVE babies! (In case you guys hadn't already figured that out!) and I LOVE the daddies that cry and get so excited about the birth. I offer to let the daddy catch the baby in every birth I attend but most decline-but it's awesome when they do it!!!!
