Brazil loves Iron Maiden

I'm a Maiden fan and despite them not selling truck loads of records in the states, they still manage to tour very well, world wide. They will be doing a stadium show in Sao Paulo next month with Cavalera Conspiracy opening for them. Man, do South Americans love their heavy metal or what?
And not to forget the Japanese, Maiden is doing back to back shows at the Super Arena in Tokyo. That place holds 37k so a lot of metal heads over there too.

They sure do! Heavy metal or hard rock. Heck, even look at the massive crowd MB headlined to in Jakarta 00:34 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXcAxJD9_xM (not to mention selling out the Budokan twice over last year), but yet are playing the HOB in US???

Man, we really love Metal and hard rock. I can't explain the reasons. Maybe, metal was the voice of the opressed people, who lived decades under dictatorship governments. In Brazil, the end of Military governments was the same time of the first Rock in Rio Festival, in 85. AC/DC, Maiden, Scorpions, Ozzy, Whitesnake and Queen were in that bill and they become favorite acts here. I was 11 at that time, but since then, I saw Maiden 6 times and I'm going to my 7th, on March 27.

From Rush, the crowd "singing" YYZ was fenomenal, and of course, I was there!!

I'm waiting for a MB South American tour...I love Mr. Big. I have all the albuns with PG, and What If... is coming from the US next week.
And I've bought my JRNY ticket for the Sao Paulo show, on March 30.

Too bad that DVD is absolute garbage. Whoever the director was on that project(probably some local production company union member) dropped the ball BIG TIME. The camera changes were every 1 second! Camera is on Alex - one second later its on Ged....then one second later its back to Alex. I watched it once. How about staying on the guitarist for the entire solo. I didn't mind the constant raining, or the crowd. Those people are true fans. The camera work ruined that DVD. Couple that with the Vapor Trails mastering clipping issues - and that wasn't a great period for the band.

The mastering on "Vapor Trails" is truly dreadful. Almost as bad as Metallica's last two studio albums.

SCORPIONS' UNBREAKABLE ONE NIGHT IN VIENNA DVD is the worst one...impossible to follow, especially when the "focus" is on James Kottak...
