what in hell is wrong with this ex wife of his (that's rhetorical by the way - it's obvious what's wrong with her...) - she claims he hit her and threatened to kill her in 2009... and yesterday gets a restraining order and takes the kids.... but last WEEK she vacationed with him, the kids and his two twinkies?

oohboy! I watched the "Charlie Sheen show" on 20/20 last night. As weird as he sounds...hate to admit he also says some funny things...definitely like watching a play with both tragedy and comedy. Gads.
He reminds me of someone I knew who was having a break from reality and saying weird stuff - illusions of grandeur - believing they had superior powers and nobody could understand them or touch them. It's a combination of drugs/alcohol addiction and mental illness...maybe one triggers the other? Carrie Fisher was recently on Oprah and she is manic bi-polar and a former addict and she said she was saying weird stuff & losing her mind. She also moved constantly, fidgeted terribly on the show...looks like Charlie is in the same way. Now Carrie Fisher takes shock treatments because it helps her brain "quiet down"...she's got a brilliant witty mind, too.

Yeah, I don't get Brooke either. She should of filed charges back in 2009 for that incident. Not leave it until now. And as for vacationing with Charlie and Co, that was her own decision, albeit a possibly stupid one.

What I would like to see is a Guardian At Lightum (sp?) ordered for the kids. Someone needs to make decisions in the children's best interests.

One thing that surprises me in this thread is how people just expect people with mental illness to not be funny and witty. I can't say for sure if Charlie is mentally ill, if it's the drugs, or just his personality. But if he WERE mentally ill, he can STILL have a great sense of humor. Many out of control, off meds, into addiction messed up people are HILARIOUS!! Mental illness isn't what everyone thinks it is I don't think. They don't lose every ounce of their ability to think. Charlie is hilarious. I bet with or without whatever issues he's having.

If he didn't make a public spectacle of himself, no one would. I love how on the one hand you are "healthy healthy healthy" until YOU deem it a lifestyle that YOU think is fine because YOU like to indulge in it. Health is about a whole person. Their whole being. Not just their WEIGHT. But why should I expect you to have a brain anyway.

So it's OK for you to slam people for being fat but the minute anyone talks about mental illness, it's suddenly faux pas? If he was a huge, fat guy, you'd be making fun of him.

So true! And people don't seem to see either that someone can come across as in control, can sound like a totally normal person, can use words to make themselves look just fine, but still be a person with some major issues. Hell, have seen it on the internet alone, lol. Someone can seem so normal and nice and great and all that, but in person it's like ---> .....

Uh... Uhm... Fuck yes! Being a fatass is someone everyone can see - having a mental disease (and there's not just one), is something you can't just diagnose like some dr. Phil copycat, because you listen to some guy's interview. The fact is that no one of us knows the guy, so we don't have a fucking clue what's going on.

Where did I say he HAS a mental illness!! Maybe you should open your eyes and read the words "I can't say for sure if" and "if he were" before making a dumb ass remark to me. I never once tried to diagnose him.

Charlie does not want us to judge ...
I try not to be a judger,
But, putting all the craziness aside, his father
would not have gone public if there weren't
a need for concern. He hardly seems like
the type of human/father who would try to humiliate
and possibly destroy his child if he weren't genuinely
terrified ...and Emilio was at his side!! The family
is banding together

Someone I know on Facebook posted that she is so sick of Charlie Sheen that she is starting to miss Lindsay Lohan! Why he hasn't hooked up with Lindsay since she got out of jail/rehab is a mystery, but who wants to bet that's going to be next if she doesn't end up in prison?
