Right now I have some issues with the playback of the album - it demands to be payed loud and I can't seem to shake a pair of constant ear aches :(
Gotta see the quack tomorrow. Then back to Eclipse I hope!

Green tea, Andrew. Drink a lot of it. Since I began drinking about 80-100 ounces a day I have been sick once or twice in the last 3 years. It can't be a coincidence. Granted, I also started eating better and lost about 15 pounds, but you get the idea. Anyway, I hope you feel better. If not, just type out a review with a busted ear drum, while you lie helpless on your wrenched back in your driveway ... like last time.  :P

Hahaha....no...Example:
December 2008...got a Grand Cherokee with a sticker of 34,9ish for $18,9ish. Jeep was in trouble and the economy was in the tank. However, I just traded that in on a cheap Sentra lease that was $139/month with 2k down. I actually had equity in the Jeep after 22 months somehow and that paid for the down. I loved the Jeep - my fave car ever by a mile - but I'm doubling my gas mileage and I needed to save some money because the wife lost her gig, and the payment is over $200 less/month too. Miss the Jeep though.

Crapola cars I've had:

1987 Chrysler Lebaron
1996 Pontiac Grand Am GT
2000 Dodge Stratus
2006 Honda CR-V
2008 Dodge Avenge

Good cars:
2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
2005 Ford Taurus

To be honest, if I'd kept the Taurus I probably would have been better off, as they run well and are cheap to fix. The others it was clearly cheaper to get rid of.

I have a 2010 Honda Civic now that everyone says will last forever. Mayhaps I'll try keeping this car for a long time like I did with the Lebaron and Grand Am. I will say that driving new is a great peace of mind, though.

My original intention was just to point out that people driving new cars doesn't necessarily mean they think the economy is great, but just that they've been burned on an older car too many time.

I looked at Jeep Grand Cherokees yesterday, and they're fucking expensive!  Of course, you're looking at a guy whose newest car ever was 9 years old.  My company has decided that they're going to give me mileage so the gas is definitely free and if I get a newer car I can put a few dollars away for when the car does need maintenance. Man, the Grand Cherokees are sharp. Me like. :)

A friend of mine just bought one. It's a used one, 2006 or so, but he loves it. He did say the gas mileage sucks a big one though. I bought a Dodge Avenger in December, and it's got a 4 cylinder in it, but that son of a gun will flat shit and git. And it gets between 30 and 35 mpg. Not an SUV, by any means, which I do miss, but it's a great economical car with enough room for 4 adults. Cup holders everywhere, and there is even a beverage cooler built into the dash. :D

I just got rid of a Grand Cherokee Laredo last year with 230,000 miles. I bought it used with 60,000 miles from a guy at work who was transferred overseas. Definitely the best car I've ever had, minor/normal maintenance issues until the last year and then the wear was starting to show. It started needing front-end work. Needless to say I bought another Jeep!! I'm another one who doesn't do car payments, so I end up keeping a car forever.

Just want to say thanks for posting all this info on Eclipse and as long as the lyrics aren't vulgar (which I would HIGHLY doubt) and not some weird spiritual "guruish" mantra, I AM IN!!!! Bring it on!!!

I may have just opened up the door for a beating now with my guruish comment. We shall see.
The lyrics are great. Inspiring.
Thank you. JUST what I wanted to hear. I am one of those strange birds who actually put a LOT of weight into lyrical content. If I am going to be singing the words over and over, allowing all ears in close proximity, as well as my own brain to hear them, I want them to be positive and not contrary to my own personal belief system. Yes, I AM picky about what I listed to, but if you don't stand for something, you will stand for anything.

I hope so. I really hope so. I can't imagine any regular fan of the band not loving this. Might frighten a few off though!

You deserve a beatdown just for using the non-word guruish twice in the same post.

Appreciate you putting your heartfelt preview on the front page AJM.
I think it will help the band tremendously and am sure it will, if it hasn't already, bring MASSIVE heat down on you from some factions. :)

Whatever will be will be!

I'd type the same for Def Leppard or a Joe Elliott solo album if I loved it the same way :)

MASSIVE heat? Maybe two or three years ago but not anymore. Now, there's nothing on this site beyond the fahrenheit that the flame from a birthday candle might yield.

I thought the song ' What I Needed' off of Revelation was one of Journey's best songs ever. I still play Revelation( new song disc) all of the time. If this album is far better I cant wait.

Did anyone think 'What I Needed' was as good as I thought it was. What a GREAT GREAT song.

So Andrew are the songs this good or better?

I cant wait to purchase my copy in May.

Absolutely. And it's even better live. The song features stunning vocals and some killer guitar work. It's dark and moody with deep lyrics and killer guitar work. And there isn't a more difficult Journey song done better live since Frontiers.

I really love the extended version played on the Manila DVD. Like rock opera.
