He does over sing a bit sometimes, as illustrated here.

I think he's an excellent singer, just not one of the top of all time. That's what I don't get. I will take George Michael over him any day.

I think Farnham's talent tends to be underrated by his choice of material. Most people learn to sing. Farnham is one of the few natural-born singers, along with Roy Orbison and Perry that I've ever heard. He does have a tendency to over-sing at times, but his talent really shines live. He's one of the very few singers I've ever heard who is actually better live than studio.

I applaud the effort to create a music show based solely on talent but unfortunately, I don't see this going anywhere. The only things that matter in the music industry today are big breasts, a cute ass and six pack abs. Thanks to auto-tune, real talent takes a back seat to good looks.

Well, the X Factor in England has made two big stars out of very average people. But it's hard to tell if this show is going to have the flow to keep you interested. Time will tell once they get their teams. I did love the opening number with all of the stars singing Gnarls Barkley's Crazy. Adam's vocals were really great on that song.

Glad we can agree on something 8)

The Voice of Styx is Dennis you numbskull....

Now this, is a good question. Probably, most think DD, but there must be some, if not many, that choose TS. In fact, I was just watching this Styx vid of Gowan, and thought this very question. I know that a lot think that Styx isn't really Styx without DD, but on the songs that TS sings lead, it's pure Styx regardless of the DD/Gowan thing.

Muy interesante...

If Vancouver takes it in game 7, I'm still in..........if they don't, I'm out. If the Cup ain't coming back to Western Canada via Van then yep, I don't give a shit who gets it.

Shame on you Senorita, I'm pulling for the Canucks even if the Habs get hammered.
Come on Deb!, if the Habs go on and The Canucks don't, I just can't believe you won't care.

Sorry I said something in a thread that had nothing to do with hockey but it had to be done. :)

Ya, I was a bit harsh. Of course I'd rather see it come back to Canada, period. But preferably Cal or Van...........well, ok, except Edmonton. It's looking like we may have another team out west next year, from what I've heard it looks like Winnipeg might be getting their Phoenix team back next year???

Hmmm....watching now what I have DVRd. First impressions were positive going by the commercials. But I have to tell you, something isn't right. Besides the fact of the damn personal backstories that infest all these shows, the added thing about the in-fighting between judges seems fabricated too....why can't it be strictly about VOCAL ABILITY, and not about side plots?

If this, or any show can't make it without the usual plot devices - then it is a crap show....and I don't like the fact that once a judge turns his/her chair - the unturned judges can see their reaction.....

 That was last night on Dancing With The Stars. It was guilty pleasures night and they got to pick their song, Chris Jericho picked DSB, and gave Steve Perry props, (Chris is in a rock band) and said he loves Steve Perry and said he is his main influence.

Well he CERTAINLY doesn't sound like SP! Thank Gawd he can dance better than he can sing!! Eeeesh!! :P
