So much for the concerts stimulating sales. Charging double price for the CD didn't help.

Eclipse drops from #33 to out of the Top 100 albums on it's second week of release in the UK.

The one week stay equals the length of time that Revelation and Evolution spent on the chart.

We'll see if the album can break through again with any publicity the may have gotten from their just completed UK tour.

I wouldn't expect to see 'Eclipse' back in the UK charts, but UK chart longevity has never been Journey's strong suit anyway, even their sole UK top 10 album 'Frontiers' spent less weeks in the UK charts than it did at it's US peak alone!

Surprisingly, Frontiers and ROR were both on the UK charts for over a month, Escape for over 12 weeks. Considering that Journey wasn't touring Europe at all during that time, that's impressive.

Maybe Journey should just drop the ball on releasing new material and concentrate on releasing classic Journey stuff. Maybe another HITS live cd, because the Greatest hits live is not very good. How about a package deal with a cd of greatest hits, a dvd, and a greatest hits cd.

It was only last year that Journey's Greatest Hits reached #12 on the UK Charts.
There is region specific Journey greatest hits album Don't Stop Believin' that was in the UK Top 40 rock charts last week also.
It's gone now, just like Eclipse.

hahah... I think it's pretty obvious by the lack of effort by the band and its management that they didn't care if Eclipse sold at all...

It sounds like Arrival to me.
And the songs are far too lengthy for my taste.

Not really fussed about any of them.
And Arnel's voice, although good, still does not move me.

It will probably stay on the CD shelf next to Revelation and not get played again.
I still haven't played the re-records CD that came with Revelation. Never will.

I guess I'm locked in the 80's and the Journey sound from then.

Glad I didn't get a gig ticket this tour.

But after the Augeri gig where his mouth was nowhere near the mic and his vocal was ringing out loud and clear I have been very reluctant to put my hard earned cash in Journey's pockets.

And after hearing all the reports about Journey's sound being shyte and the other Bands sound being good, I'm doubly glad I didn't scrimp and save to see them this year.

I've enjoyed both of the last two studio releases but I'm soured on the Journey concert experience from that whole fiasco. The only way I'd go at this point is if they were playing next door to me and I managed to get free tix. Otherwise, I'm not spending my money on that.

I liked JSS as frontman. And Augeri was ok.
And after the Augeri vocal 'situation' in the UK I was kind of pissed off.
Ok it was still HIS voice we heard, but we paid to see and hear a live performance.

And then when JSS was hired, fired and erased from the Journey website before my very eyes - I was reeling from all the craziness and nastiness of it all.

And you know what, I don't think I'd even go if they were next door to me and I got free tickets. Especially now there are all these sound mix problems.

And, I can't really say I've enjoyed these last two albums. They don't seem to be making music for me anymore.

The venue they normally play in Noblesville, IN is only a mile from my house, so I'd think about it if a friend was going and invited me or I somehow managed to get free tickets. Actually, the last time I saw the band was in 2006. I actually did get free tix to see them from JSS himself and got to meet him at the pre-show meet-n-greet. Took my daughter with me and sat eight rows from the stage. Great show and memories!

And, I can't really say I've enjoyed these last two albums. They don't seem to be making music for me anymore.

Some of those tracks from "Revelation" are classic Journey to my ears, i.e. "Never Walk Away", "Change for the Better", "After All These Years", "Where Did I Lose Your Love", and "What I Needed" (especially the latter).

Sure, I like all those tracks you named from revelation.

But I haven't actually played the CD for ages.

Do you think I finally grew out of Journey?

Maybe it's a female thing?

I feel a voice as well as hear it.
The voice has to move me.

Steve Perry's voice reached me.
So does JSS's.

Augeri and Arnel - sure, good singers with some good songs. But I don't feel 'em.

And a song has to catch my attention, hold my attention and have me singing along.

Maybe I will have to be banished from the forum.

Not until next year. In it's second week, Eclipse held on better in Japan than it did in the UK, which the band was playing. Completely off that chart. Since they're not promoting at all, I expect the album to be out of the top 100 world wide by the middle of July if not sooner. After waiting three years, looks like the band's marketing department is content to let this album die quickly.

Set list for first German Show. I believe Journey and Foreigner are co-headlining this part of the tour so shorter setlists, it looks like.

Separate Ways
Ask The Lonely
City Of Hope
Stone In Love
Edge Of The Moment
Lights
Wheel In The Sky
Chain Of Love
Open Arms
Escape
Faithfully
Be Good To Yourself
Anyway You Want It
encore
Don't Stop Believin'

They took out 'Resonate'?

Those fuckers.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

It's fucking Germany, why is Open Arms even in this setlist?

Eclipse was Journey's highest charting album in Germany ever and it gets shortchanged?

You're not going to outdraw David Hasselhoff by doing silly shit like that.
