Deb??? Where were you? She tied his shoelace in a show in '08, I think. There's video of it.

Hey Rick, I was right next to her!! Deb was insistent that Arnel get over there and get his foot on the speaker so she could tie his shoes. Just a great story and a great concert! He needs to keep those shoes tied, you can't always count on Deb!

He's going to have to go with velcro I guess.

A military guy showed me how to tie my shoes and they never come untied. After you have made the initial loop and wrap the other lace around it, you wrap it around it twice. Makes a nice tidy knot that doesn't come undone, but still unties the same way when you pull on the loose end.

Well that takes the biscuit, a grown man still learning how to tie his shoe laces. The military are on shoe tying exercise, lol.

Yeah, well Street Talk, by your criteria, dipshit, doesn't count. See below:

Guess what, son, Herbie Herbert was a (full) member of Journey. Try changing the criteria again. If you do it long enough I'm sure you'll find a formula that works.

I guess I should have said CREATIVE playing members of Journey. Not a marketing, mananger. You knew I meant that and you found a loophole. Imagine that. :)

Nobody outside of few even know who the fuck Herbie is. You know exactly what I meant.

Arnel will have to pull an Augeri and just go out there barefoot like he did that one time... I forget the story around that.

SA said he ran out of time to slip on his shoes during one concert (or somerthing like that). Afterwards, Neal and Jon told him that he sounded better than usual. From that point on, he just didn't wear shoes. The 2002 UTR tour was mostly small backwoods podunk venues anyway. He fit right at home.

tsk tsk tsk! The lead singer is only one of the parts that make up the act.

The most important, most identifiable part.

So, I guess, by your standard that makes all these bands frauds?

Not frauds, just not up to their original greatness. And that's OK. No matter how much they would like to be what they once were, without the most important members of the band, they will never be anything other than really great tribute/cover bands.

Journey still has it's most important band member. His name is Neal Schon.

Augeri didn't wear shoes at one of the shows that I was at on that tour. It was at a fair in Ohio.

It is amusing, but true. At least that's what Augeri said in an old interview from that tour.

I believe it started at the NY show in Big Flats. He walked the plank in front of the show all night without shoes...priceless. That was also the night his zipper broke in those blue "cloud" pants... <just saying>

So is Mick back???? If not, if this is going to be a long term thing, may I suggest switching Night Ranger and Foreigner on the bill. From all accounts, NR is kicking ass at these shows anyway.

SF,

Night Ranger is kicking ass, but Foreigner has a depth of catalog NR just can't match. Having said that, I'd love to put in some requests if that were to ever happen.

1. This boy needs to rock
2. I need a woman
3. Touch of Madness
4. Night Machine
5. Goodbye (can't help it. I love that tune)

Love these tunes. Night Ranger, I feel, has plenty enough material to cover a 60min set. Hell, saw them headline many a show back in the 80s. I am sure this would be a bit of a bummer for the folks who come specifically for Foreigner, but I don't think that is anywhere near a majority of the attendees.
