Ashton Kutcher's Trailer While Shooting 2 1/2 Men - Obscene!

Postby JRNYMAN » Fri Sep 09, 2011 1:21 pm

So Kutcher is replacing Sheen on 2.5 Men and while the show is filming, the studio is doing everything they can to make him feel welcome and at home, including footing the $8500.00 per week bill for a ridiculous trailer which is parked on the studio's lot.

Here's the highlights...

2-story
1,000 square-foot Anderson Mobile Estate
2 bathrooms
Kitchen with granite counter tops
Wireless touch screen that controls heat, air conditioning, brightness and the blinds
A conference area.
7 - 60-inch 3-D plasma TVs

As if that wasn't enough, the mobile home also includes side sections and a second floor that hydraulically emerges from the main body of the vehicle.

I hate hearing about things like this.

I accept that actors & actresses work hard. They do something I cannot do and many times put in long hours...but so do steel workers and doctors and teachers, and they don't get mobile mansions.

In economic times like these, I think it's completely offensive to hear about Kutcher's trailer, or J-Lo's AI salary, or how much Kim Kardashian's dress costs.

But as long as the American public idolizes celebrity, it'll always be "news".

I'll watch the season premiere episode, but I don't know beyond that. I'm a big Charlie Sheen fan, but have never been an Ashton Kutcher fan.

I always watch the show, but it's way to obscene for TV. It's not that I can't handle the dirty stuff. It's just that I don't think that they have any business getting that filthy on regular network TV. There are no standards anymore.

Agreed. Shows like Wilfred and It's Always Sunny are WAY filthier than 2.5 Men but those shows are on cable networks and both air after 10:00pm. 2.5 Men on the other hand is on at the beginning of prime-time television on a major network. CBS has no business airing that show amid the lineup it's grouped with. When my kids were little, I was hypersensitive to the content of the shows that aired in the early evening - if for no other reason, I didn't want to answer the questions that immediately follow something vulgar or obscene or sexual in nature from my girls.

The show has losts it's appeal for me. I never did like Ashton. He is ok, but not a sitcom draw for me. The only thing I did like Ashton is was the Butterfly Effect.

Agreed...10-15 years ago, you just don't see such sexually suggested content on network TV shows, other than adult-theme dramas coming on at 10 pm. Certainly, not so-called familty sit-coms.

We don't watch any TV series on a regular basis anymore... Smallville being the last one. Lately, I've noticed Hubby and Boys catching this show on syndicated daily reruns while I'm preparing dinner in the kitchen. The storylines and dialogue coming from the TV kinda repulsed me. I'm not a prude or have anything against Charlie Sheen....just can't see any redeeming value with this show. Should be interesting to see how the show will evolve with the new lead guy. Will they tone it down, now that the "hounddog" is gone, or get even "edgier" for shock value?
