Who?

He was one of the 3 Musketeers, obviously. DUH!!

And although that's true, the Marc Anthony referred to here is the former husband of J-Lo. He has a big presence on the Latin/Pop charts.

I have heard singers who've lost/gained weight at some point in their career and, though, it doesn't necessarily make a huge difference, it can make them sound a little different.

He is also a man. Women's voices, particularly sopranos, tend to go south much earlier in life. Hormones are a bitch.

I've always thought that men's voices deteriorate faster, particularly male rock singers.

I'd like to hear Ann Wilson now as I've heard she's lost quite a bit of weight. Saw her in 2008 and she was as big as a vending machine, but sounded as good as ever.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I think much of it depends on the physiology of the individual person. Take sleep apnea for instance...It's experienced mostly by overweight people but, occasionally a thin person can have a serious problem with it.

Has she really? Good for her. It'd be interesting to hear if her voice is different because of weight loss. I bet she'd have more energy and just that alone might give her even more volume. She's got amazing lung power as it is.

This video is from last February, and she looks like she's a great deal slimmer than in 2008. I hope she can keep it up.

And she's in her early 60's. Just incredible.

There will never be another like her. Heart's nominated for the RnR HOF 2012 (I know, I know) but if anyone deserves it, they do. https://www.heart-music.com/articles.html?n_id=520

I couldn't agree more. I hope they get in there.

Absolutely correct statement. There are very, very few female singers who reside at the top of the heap and whose voices are unparalleled and Ann's one of them. Barbara Streisand, Karen Carpenter, Judy Garland and perhaps 2 or 3 more will always be regarded as the true great greats and will always be the measuring stick when describing how good a singer is. Unfortunate for the rest of them but for those who hold the highest honors, they are the benchmark. They are the best of the best and by God, for Ann to still be belting them out just as good as she did when we first fell in love with their music is just admirable.

Think back to the first time you became aware of this band called Heart with this killer lead singer and her smokin' hot sister playing guitar. Now, think about how you viewed people who were in their 60's. Did you ever think those two thoughts would be merged together like they are today? No freakin' way! I'll say one thing about Ann's weight. Having the extra pounds does a great job of making one look younger. If she was to go on one of those weight loss regiments now and lost say, 90-100 lbs., she would most assuredly show her age and the wrinkles which are absent now would show up and her somewhat youthful appearance for her age would be gone.

Loved Heart since Dreamboat Annie and have seen them 5 times over the years. Have never left a Heart show disappointed.

Nope. Weight won't change your voice, unless you're fat as fuck.

Yup! Stand-up comic John Pinette is evidence of that. He got up to almost 500 lbs. before he had his stomach stapled and started an intense, monitored fitness regiment which resulted in him losing half his weight in the last couple of years and his voice stayed exactly the same from thin to fat and back to almost thin again.
