No what Lucas has done to Star Wars is the same thing Nickelback has done to themselves.

I know. It was my attempt at humor.

It's just like Nigerian scammer spam -- it will only go away when fools stop falling for it and sending them money.

I've never been a Star Wars fan. No offense to those of you who are SW fans, but I never understood the appeal of them?

Now that I have the new Plasma TV and a Blu-Ray player, I've been watching the James Bond films on Blu-Ray. Earlier today I watched "From Russia With Love" which is from 1963, and I'm blown away by how awesome it looks on Blu-Ray.

Don wrote:... digitally finished or CGI films like Toy Story were typically rendered in at least 2K resolution, which is pretty close to 1080p HDTV. So Blu-ray maximizes the resolution, and gives us greater detail on these films as well. Some of these films have even been re-rendered at higher resolutions, such as at 4K, containing even more detail than 1080p Blu-ray can handle.

Ha! Too funny...I made this exact argument here a year or so ago...Current HD does NOT equal the visual quality of film.

Put down the bottle, dude. You're getting your shows mixed up. Those are stills from Buck Rogers, not BSG — '70s OR 2000s.

Your memory's already bad to start with. No need to add to the problem.

Oh yeah, my bad... I mixed up Buck Rogers with the OTHER ridiculously bad show from the 70's.

You mean "Mork and Mindy"?
