I like the song but the Journey line feels a little squashed into the sentence. Too many words and it sounds awkward

Yea - I've heard the full song live a couple of times on radio shows and it sounded better that way. It's the chorus, so they repeat it a few times.

That's a Train thing. They do it on a normal basis, and it's a big reason why I'm less of a fan of theirs than I should be. They usually tend to have about 1/3 too many lyrics the song.
