Both Dave Simmons of DC Star and David Bell of The Ravyns are very, dear friends of mine, and 2 of THE BEST
musicians I have ever known!

I met Dave at your house a few years ago. Great guy, but I never followed up with him.

Jeff Avery, formerly of DC STAR is currently in a band with some friends of mine, The Last Remains (of So. MD). I see them quite frequently. I've known the other members of Last Remains for over 30 years! They used to be in a band called Frankie & the Actions, who were a staple in the MD music scene. It's a shame that we lost Ken Taylor, DC Stars' singer, last year of Lymphoma. His widowed wife Patti is an old dear friend of mine and was left with exorbitant medical bills to pay.

Just saw another "Baltimore band", Funny Money last night. This is a side project of Steve Whiteman, Jimmy Chalfont, Mark Schenker of KIX along with my friend Dean Cramer, (formerly of Goodbye Thrill, who played at MRF1). My friends in VenDetta opened for them last night. It was a GREAT show!

So many good bands have come out of the Balimore/MD area! Let's not forget about Joan Jett, Child's Play & Crack The Sky as well. 8)
