Couldn't really tell if he was spitting on anyone or just spitting. The first clip's lugie may or may not have been directed at Rockenfield, but the second clip just looked like he was spitting on stage not at anyone in particular. It is a too bad they couldn't make this thing work, but it is not like either side is going to make it big again.

The first spitting clip (Jet City Woman) is undoubtedly directed right at Scott. It's a classic passive aggressive move--the equivalent of "inadvertently" shoulder checking a guy who looked at you the wrong way at a bar. There was obviously a lot going on behind the scenes, and this is how this douchebag handled it. Complete lack of class.

Agreed.

The first clip looked like he tried to spit over the drum kit, directly on Scott. The second clip looked like he was spitting on Scott's drum kit.

If you read the statements given by Rockenfield, Wilton, Jackson, Lundgren, and various stage managers and techs, those two clips completely support their statements that GT was repeatedly spitting on them and their gear. What a douche.

GEOFF TATE To Sing National Anthem At Washington's Evergreen Speedway Tomorrow - July 13, 2012

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?m ... um=twitter

Geoff Tate (QUEENSRŸCHE) will sing the American national anthem on Saturday, July 14 at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West will start the second half of its 2012 season tomorrow night at Evergreen Speedway.

The start time has been moved up an hour to accommodate the four divisions/series. 5 p.m. is when the racing will begin, with spectator gates opening at 2 p.m.

Evergreen Speedway is located at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe where Highways 2 and 522 collide.

For tickets and information, go to www.evergreenspeedway.com or call 360-805-6100.

Tate previously performed the U.S. national anthem on October 14, 2007 when the Seattle Seahawks hosted the New Orleans Saints at Qwest Field. Video footage of his rendition can be seen below.

The singer, who is currently embroiled in a legal battle with his estranged QUEENSRŸCHE bandmates over the rights to the group's name, recently signed a worldwide recording contract with InsideOut Music.

Tate is currently finishing production on his first InsideOut Music release. The album is planned for release this fall, with details to be announced in the coming weeks.

QUEENSRŸCHE members Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Parker Lundgren announced on June 20 that they were parting ways with Tate and recruiting powerhouse vocalist Todd La Torre of CRIMSON GLORY as his replacement. The new QUEENSRŸCHE lineup has already performed live, having played two successful shows in their home city of Seattle under the name RISING WEST

Geoff Tate Responds to Queensryche Accusations

http://ultimateclassicrock.com/geoff-ta ... cusations/

The back and forth between Geoff Tate and his former bandmates in Queensryche continues with Tate’s preliminary injunction that was filed this past Thursday (July 12) in King County Superior Court in Seattle.

Blabbermouth reports that Tate disputes a number of the accusations levied at him by the band. He states that while he was the last to join, the group did not have a singer before he was part of the outfit, therefore they were not a band yet. He also states that it’s an incorrect assertion that he did not contribute to the making of the band’s first self-titled EP, adding “I sang all the songs of the EP and with [former guitarist Chris] DeGarmo wrote what became the most popular song on the album, ‘Lady Wore Black.’ I also helped pay for the cost of the recording studio.”

The singer disputes that he rejected attempts at sharing songwriting credits with the other members and adds that the decision to work with outside musicians only occurred because the other three members were not contributing to the songwriting.

He also disputes the accounts that refer to his wife Susan and her ousting as their manager, who he claims only took on the job reluctantly after the band had issues with their past management. The singer says that when it was first suggested that they move on from Susan Tate a full year before her ousting, guitarist Michael Wilton suggested that he wanted to hire Paul Geary.

Tate says that he and Scott Rockenfield were in on the call to Geary and let him know that they were not interested in moving forward with a new manager and that Wilton had started the process of his own accord, so therefore the decision not to hire Geary was not his alone.

As for the altercation that happened between the members, Tate says, “I was upset at the time, having been told that my wife and daughter had been fired and that I was ‘next.’ I regret losing my temper and my actions are not acceptable. It is also very unlike me to act in this manner. I do not lose my temper, become loud or threatening, or hit people … I did not threaten Rockenfield, [Eddie] Jackson, and Wilton during or after the show in Brazil. I also did not threaten them at any point after that.”

Tate says he has no doubt that the incident upset Rockenfield and Wilton, neither were injured and it was also clear that neither musician was not and are not afraid of him. He also feels that group had been conspiring to oust him earlier than the incident and the altercation then gave them an excuse to use to do it.

It was as it appeared to be, according to the statements of not only the other band members in Brazil, but also management and crew. I looked at this link that FlinnFreak posted: http://www.anybodylistening.net/breakdo ... topic=2906

Read almost all the declarations of the band members, family, and most of the crew. Pretty clear that Geoff Tate is a LIAR, and the dude has something wrong with him. Read all the stories and look at the evidence (such as the e-mails to Scott Rockenfield from the film company) and I get a picture of Geoff as someone who is both narcissistic and paranoid - drinking his own Kool-Aid and full of shit at the same time. He denies striking anyone... just swinging at Scott once and pushing Michael Wilton I think. Everyone else says he struck Scott twice in the face, and Wilton once, then threatened them for the rest of the night to the point that their manager had their bags packed early and told them not to take the customary bow at the end of the show so he could hurry them back to the hotel before Geoff went nuts again. A major-league beat-down would be good for Geoff Tate, methinks.

Two other interesting things I noted in those declaration documents:

1) Scott Rockenfield's personal phone # appears in them.

2) In Scott's declaration (I think it's his), he mentions they are currently either talking to or working with Azoff's company, that they manage Journey and another band, and that both bands have been successful under their management after replacing their singers. :)

That link gets continually updated as statements are made and I've read a lot of them.

Is it just me, or do the declarations of GT's character and demeanor by friends of the Tates seem extremely biased in the sense that they have all benefited from their relationship with the Tates with trips, parties, backstage access, or have worked for them in some capacity, etc.??? Hardly impartial, wouldn't you say?
