On July 4th weekend in 1978, almost 100,000 people crammed into the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX on the hottest day of the decade to watch their favorite bands. It was the first time a stadium rock show of this magnitude had ever been held in the south. It was the first of decades of stadium rock shows. Van Halen, Heart, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Journey, Eddie Money, Walter Egan, Headeast, Frank Marino, Cheech and Chong, and more!!!

Texxas World Music Festival, commonly known as Texxas Jam was held from 1978 - 1988 in Dallas, Texas at the Cotton Bowl and at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas. Attendance ranged from 60,000 - 85,000 each year. I have often wondered why there never has been a book about Texxas Jam over the years. I personally attended seven of the eleven Texxas Jams and recently had the desire to put together a soft cover/hard cover compilation book (8 1/2 x 11) of photographs that I had taken along with four fellow photographers Freddy Salazar, Mike Joray, Michael Insuaste and Bruce Kessler. None of us had the opportunity to photograph every band at each Texxas Jam, so the compilation is incomplete. Nevertheless, we feel you will enjoy the 180 plus concert and backstage photographs.

Photos of Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Journey, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Eddie Money, Van Halen, Cheech and Chong, Heart, Head East, Blue Oyster Cult, Boston, Sammy Hagar, Eagles, Cheap Trick, Foreigner, April Wine, REO Speedwagon, Foghat, Journey, Point Blank, Uriah Heep, Triumph, Styx, Rush, .38 Special, Ozzy Osbourne, Bryan Adams, Gary Moore, Scorpons, Grim Reaper, Victory, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Dio, Krokus, Keel, Whitesnake, Farrenheit, Dokken, plenty of crowd shots at the Cotton Bowl, Astrodome, backstage photos and more.

So I am confused, will it feature actual film footage or just photographs?
