Neal Schon's Cheap Payout To Tareq Salahi For Running Off With His Wife: Confidential Details Exposed

By Radar Staff

Journey's Neal Schon and Tareq Salahi have come to an agreement in the $50 million lawsuit the White House Gatecrasher filed against the rock guitarist after he ran off with his wife Michaele, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

A source close to the situation said the suit was settled in August and that Schon is essentially paying Tareq to walk away for the price of $12,000 and his mortgage payments over the next year. In his initial suit, Tareq complained that the stigma of being cheated on publicly hurt his image and cost him lucrative opportunities.

Schon and Michaele are very happy with the deal, insiders say, as the lovers believe the price was a bargain to get rid of Tareq, who's currently a Gubernatorial candidate in Virginia.

The Salahis first gained fame for crashing the 2009 White House state dinner, where they took a picture with
President Barack Obama. They later parlayed the notoriety into a spot on the short-lived Real Housewives of D.C. franchise.

In a September 2011 interview with the TODAY show after Michaele left him, Tareq said the blonde beauty "wanted to go more to that 'A' [list] celebrity," adding he thought of Journey as "an 80s' band" whose days of relevance had long passed.

I knew it was gonna be some cheap sum like this. TS should have, by all rights, gotten nothing. Just shows what a nice guy Neal is for compensating him, un-ordered by a court.....might I add. I told you guys all Neal was doing was swatting a pesky fly and telling it to F.O. and leave them alone. :D

Now Neal and Michaele can get on with their reality show. As long as it covers the part about Neal touring all the time and keeps Journey in TV watching America's face all the time, it should also be a boon for Journey's career at a late stage in their tenure.

He sued for $50 million and settled for only 12 grand? The only way that could be a shittier deal was if they threw in a copy of Eclipse.

The Journey forums needed some fodder to discuss. Neal had to have this wild affair, or everyone would get bored as fuck and leave.

Most of 'em have. There are plenty of people we haven't heard from in ages.
