Have to cater to the farmers. Who else is gonna lobby to have high fructose corn poison put in everything?! We need them!

As I have said a million times before, why not change it 30 minutes as a compromise and leave it there forever?

We don't do daylight savings in Japan. Never the less, while I'm living in America, I don't notice anything different when the clocks are turned back like they were over this past weekend. It's just 60 minutes change, WTF? No big deal. Turn the clock forward one hour on Saturday night when you go to bed. Wake up on Sunday morning when you've got enough sleep. That's that.

I've had co-workers in the past who used the day light saving excuse for a month after the change to gripe about why they aren't in the mood to work, yet other times of the year they have no problem hanging out extra late down at "Snuffy's" bar until it closes and then they come to work a few hours later. No problems there. But fuck, have the day light savings happen and it bends them for a fucking month.

Love daylight savings time. It's so much nicer getting home from work with the sun still out.

Exactly. Love having five hours of light left after getting off of work. Plus if we didn't spring foward, the sun would be coming at 4am instead of 5am.

Me too! I can't stand to get home from work when it's pitch black! Makes me feel like I need to go straight to bed.

I was in St. Petersburg at the height of winter. The sun rose at about 11:00AM and started to set at 3:00PM. Quit whining

I hate DST on principle because the farm lobby pisses me off so much.

And if they didn't fall back it would be dark at 4pm during the winter. Longer days are coming back. Good times!

And you want to pay how much for food? I can think of a lot more lobbies to get pissed at than farmers.

Finally something we agree on ! ;) :)

Well then you can take your cheap shit food with all of its farm lobby-imposed high fructose corn syrup and let it kill you. I purposely pay extra for food that isn't a product of the farmers who are represented by that lobby.
