Watched this this morning. I LOVE Cheap Trick- but Dangit- Rick Nielsen's playing gets sloppier every time I see them. The rest of the band sound great, and Dax sounds good copping Bun E's parts on the drums, but Rick just slops the whole thing up. I wish he wouldn't do that and I wish they'd get a backup singer to cop his parts as he's not able to do them.

STILL- having said that, Cheap Trick is a tremendous band and they should be in the RNRHOF. I've got all their albums and I listen to them regularly (still).
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

The one thing I like about Dax is him being there allows them to play longer sets. Of course it would be great if Bun E. was there but I totally get why he isn't.

You're right. Rick is pretty sloppy on here. Noticed it in the intro to Surrender.

Still love em though.

I'd heard that Bun E was temporarily sidelined with a back injury. However, these days I'm hearing that the band has permanently replaced him. Maybe the shorter sets weren't the only issue. Last show I saw of them was for the "Special One" tour and I do remember it was a fairly short show (with Bun).
