TIM T-BOWL fired by the Jets!

Apparently he couldn't even get a 7th round pick, lol. But he'll be ok... he's investing in a chicken restaurant chain!

I've felt like that guy was a fraud from the first time someone told me who he was. If I'm wrong, let God strike me dead right now......... Still here.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

This article makes it sound as if he was humiliated on purpose by letting him go when it would be too late to find work elsewhere in the NFL:

We're talking about the Jets and their organization here. Should this have surprised anyone? They were fools for signing him in the first place.

I really hate that kind of attitude about him, barring any evidence to the contrary. If he's not a good guy, people will eventually find out. Until then, I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I remember watching him in college saying "his mechanics BLOW...he'll never get picked". Then Denver was stupid enough to draft him. Then the Jets were even dumber to get him...at QB...he's a waste of air. Renounce that...you might have a quality RB or FB.

He's a not an elite NFL QB but not necessarily a bad football player. He was integral part of the second BCS title he won with Florida. The will is there, even if the skill is not.
The guy will make bank even without the NFL, That's a given. He's got so much else going for him because of his convictions, work ethic, charisma and other intangibles.

I'm unclear about the proper prayer protocol in this situation.... do we pray for HIM collectively down on one knee or do we nominate a kneeler who represents all of us...? God, so many questions.... I'm so confused!

He wasn't claimed on waivers either.

But, no need to fear. The USFL is only a couple years away!

After reading this post yesterday, I did a little on-line research and found that this dude was born in Manila, Philippines. Interesting.

From the Wiki page....

Tebow is a dual-threat quarterback, adept at both rushing and passing. He chose to attend the University of Florida, where he played for the Florida Gators football team.

Expert tutelage and that hefty $75 a game would be hard to resist.
