Postby TageRyche » Mon May 06, 2013 2:49 am

Did anyone else take part in this year's Free Comic Book Day?

I was writing an article for the site I'm a part of, and I made stops at two shops. You can check out my article at: http://www.pop-topia.com/free-comic-boo ... achusetts/

I stopped by my LCS for a brief second to pick up some titles. Notably the "Superman Unchained" sneak peak interview with Scott Snyder and see the direction that could be heading in June. Also picked up DC's Trinity war preview with Supes, Bats and Wonder Woman on the cover lookin' all badass. I'll probably wait for that story later on in trade but it's worth seeing how it's going to setup.

I would of bought some TPB's on sale, but I finally snagged the highly touted and hard to find "Superman: Secret Identity" trade last week so I'm good.

Looking forward to all the Superman titles, of course, especially Superman Unchained, which releases the same week as Man of Steel, June 12th I believe. Man of Steel opens June 14th.

I had a passionate affair with comic books growing up. Use to ride my bike home from school & everyday would

stop at the Time-Saver, buy an Icee & a comic for 15 cents (thats not a typo). Still have most of them, in very

good condition. I actually was in a book store a couple of months ago and noticed comic books in the magazine

section. Scanned thru some of them. The way their made now is totally different and not aesthetically pleasing

IMO. Plus, the price of comics now, unreal for only about 25 pages. Plus a lot of good characters aren't even

around anymore save a few. I'm still a fan and am glad to see them come to life on the silver screen!

By the way, I seen Red Dawn over the weekend. Piss poor remake & effort on this.
