Houston was mourning more than Tennessee was. Funny thing about that is, after the Oilers moved, he was public enemy #1 in Houston.

I told you a year ago that I liked the Bengals and at that time REALLY liked AJ Green and Andy Dalton. As I fast forward a year later, I'm not sold. I still think Green is a stud of a receiver (just a bit under sized). Dalton is a bit too inconsistent for my taste, but is still young enough to improve upon that. Having said all of that, it's the Bengals. The team simply can't stand prosperity. I'm old enough to remember watching Kenny Anderson play against Joe Montana in the Super Bowl (I believe that would have been around 1981). I think that's when the Bengals were at their height, and it's been all downhill since then. The great thing for all football fans is that every team has a chance to break through, at one point or another. If you look at leagues like the NBA, it's VERY rare for the best team not to win it all. The best team in the NFL almost never wins it all. That's part of what has made the league ridiculously successful!

By the way the Bengals are now built, it's not all that surprising to see a team molded like the Bengals finding any which ways to win. Their defensive front is one of, if not, the best in the business and they are a hungry bunch defensively that can get after you in the interior. They have a very young team and young; upcoming players coming into their own at game changing positions. A.J Green is a terror and Bernard runs the ball like a man on a mission. IMHO, Dalton and Marvin Lewis are your downfall.

Gonna be a tough time for the Colts without Wayne.. he's a big percentage of their offense....

St. Louis Rams -- Hello, Brett Favre? we need a QB. Sam tore his ACL, and we tried out a bunch of QBs and they all sucked. Would you like to make a comeback?
Brett Favre -- Absolutely! I'll can just hand the ball to Steven Jackson and throw bombs to Danny Amendola and oh wait, they don't play for you anymore. I decline your offer.

...I guess not...This topic is sinking like a stone. I have that effect on topics sometimes.

How about the Panthers? They pound on absolutely 'amazing' teams like the Giants, Rams, Vikings, and Bucs and suddenly Cam Newton is considered a rising star in the league. :roll: We'll see after they get through this next stretch (Falcons, 49ers, Patriots.)

Andy Dalton wins player of the week no doubt. Dude is getting better and better. 5 TD passes with none to AJ Green is scary fun to think about. AJ made some big plays but Jones, Eifert and Grisham are coming into their own as well. We also have Andrew Hawkins coming back and that dude can juke and jive for 40 in a heartbeat.

On to Miami Thursday Night! 8)

My Jets confuse me. They beat the Patriots in thrilling fashion, then cough up 49 to the Bengals? :?

But Geno Smith, that's my kind of QB. Capable of scoring 6 points on every play, regardless of whether it's to his team or the opposition. He doesn't do anything small does he?

Nice to see the Niners win 5 in a row for the first time in a couple decades. But the only team they have beaten that currently has a winning record is Green Bay. We'll see how things go after the break and they hopefully have at least one receiver back.

Thank you Chiefs for getting us our conditional 2nd round pick so quickly. :) They have not allowed more than 17 points in any game this year? Wow. That's pretty epic.

Bengals look great. Something about them is very impressive. I don't get to see them much, but they feel like a very fast team to me.

As much as I hate the Raiders (well, Raiders fans) they are looking pretty good as well.

Fact Finder wrote:I think what you are seeing in the Bungs is that Dalton is getting comfortable with all of his weapons, and he has A LOT of weapons right now. Green, Jones, Sanu, Eifert, Grisham, Bernard, Green-Ellis, Sanzenbacher and now Andrew Hawkins is back from an injury and that dude can cause problems real fast for opponents. Barring injury they are only getting better, and most pundits around here think the hardest part of our schedule is over. Dudes on radio yesterday were talking 12 wins. Not sure I buy that...YET! AS my buddy reminds me every week...These are the Bungals! :lol:

Remaining schedule is

@Dolphins
@Ravens
Brownies
bye
@Chargers
Colts
@Stealers
Vikings
Ravens

Ravens and Colts are a toss up to me at this point. Everything else you will will.

That was brutal. That's one of those back-breaking losses. But in your division, you can afford those at the moment. That's the only good part. That was a tough one to lose. I'm not a fan of Jim Schwartz, so I was bummed they won. But Calvin Johnson - WOW!

Ya it looks at least like Kaepernick is finally taking control of the offense.. and limiting his ball control issues. Good on him.

I don't think that Miami dude had both feet down on that 20 yard catch. You can see his second foot kick up dust when it hits out of bounds. Before that, it just glides right above ground level.

The seasons' only half over but I'm gonna call it now. Dalton, left in the Dolphins' Wake. My QB Sack of the Year. Possibly in the past 10 years. Ugly game to watch but a hell of an ending.

The Steelers made Terrell Pryor the only QB ever in the history of the league to rush for the longest rushing T.D just a week ago. They also made Locker, Dalton and Cassell look like complete monsters. A demolition-style blow-up is happening in Pittsburgh. Let the shock-wave run deep! :lol:

My hometown team sucks. Terrible O-Line.

Kind of happy for the Browns though. Better for the NFL to see them competing again.

I'll just enjoy the Super Bowl hangover.
