I don't know about that cause III was fucking horrible. I can say this though. Who fucking cares about a live album with Diamond Dave 35 years to late? I could care less and I'm a huge fan. All this talk from Eddie saying, "I would love to but I don't know where he is"? Your fucking kidding me right? The 21st century and Eddie still thinks it's 1978. Motherfucker Jim Brown, that's the lamest excuse I've ever heard.

I don't know what people who say "III" sucked are hearing. Maybe it's because they had preconceived notions as to what it should sound like and were disappointed. I didn't and wasn't. it's my favorite Van Halen album and the only one I can play straight through without skipping a track.

Eddie's tone is the best it's been in years ( Balance - Phasey/ Carnal Knowledge - Fizzy/ OU812 - Where's Eddie?/ 5150 - Where's Eddie?) and the songwriting/melodies are hooky and mature. I enjoy that not every song is "The 'Tryin' To Get Laid Tonight Boosidy Boosidy Bop' Blues".

I'm not running down those records I mentioned above, btw. I love 95% of the stuff on them, especially F.U.C.K. and Balance.

Aren't there people above the band that are smart enough to say don't put out this live album cause it really sucks? Aren't there people that should save the band from themselves? Or is it these people snowing the band for a quick buck?

Dave sounds like a grandpa on this thing. No offense to Dave - but this just blows.

Jeremy, sorry dude. You are one of the few who like it. I didn't have a "pre-conceived notion" of what it would sound like, but I damn sure expected it to sound like Halen! I actually had high hope's for it because Cherone was the singer. With Extreme he out belted some good catchy tunes, especially on "Pornograffitti". III just didn't have the songs. Maybe I need to go back and hear this one again. I haven"t played it in like fuck, a long time. I'll give it one more listen and go from there. And Jeremy, go listen to Fair Warning, Women and Children First, Van Halen II, 1984 and their Debut. That's VAN HALEN. Sorry, but that Hagar shit blowed.

For me VH III is their 2nd worst album with only Diver Down being worse (I'm talking only studio albums. Thought Live Right Here Right Now was bad as well)

I listened to Panama. It's not that Dave can't sing ( he was awesome in Paso Robles2013) but he's completely butchering the song and changing the vocal lines too much. It's just weird.

The Ellen Show? I think Jerry Springer would have been a more appropriate fit. Just have Michael and Sammy in the green room swigging tequila to tank up for their surprise meeting with their old bandmates. And after the surprise meeting have Maury Povich come out with some test results, "We've analyzed the live concert recordings, and the test results are in. Wolfgang Van Halen....you are NOT the background vocalist! Michael Anthony......you ARE the background vocalist!" Oh, fuck I'm amusing myself again, but what the hell, no one on this forum comments anymore on bands, their all political aficionados now, blaming everything on one motherfucker. Anyway, what do you wanna bet Van Halen plays "Jump" on that Lesbo's show? I would not mind hearing "Everybody Wants Some"….complete with Dave's "I love the way the lines run up the back of the stockings" bit. Seeing the studio audience of a bunch of carpet munchers totally creeped out would be well worth the price of admission.

Wow. I know Diamond Dave is loved by most VH fans, but gawd ... what an absolutely horrible live singer. I get that his ego and wit is part of his "front man charm", but wow, he is atrocious in terms of vocals.

I didn't expect Dave to sound like thirty years ago, but he still sounded really bad last night on Kimmel. The piped-in backing vocals and Ed's guitar are what make VH listenable. Alex seemed to do alright.

Yeah, I seen Kimmel. WTF? You know that performance was akin to watching a pet shop burn to the ground.I''ve listened to 'the real Van Halen' since I was a kid. Dave is still the same old Dave...clueless and could care less what people think! I've found myself cringing not just last night but just about every time he opened his mouth! I truly think he snorted around ten lines of coke before going onstage, hence the gum smacking and gasping for air between every spoken word. For those of us who have followed VH for 35 years and remember what it was like, I was fucking cringing every time Roth opened his fucking mouth. Maybe Van Halen or specifically Roth, need to use auto-tune or better yet just lip-sync the entire show. There comes a time when the frontman of a legendary group just can't sing anymore. Not that Roth could ever sing like Stanley, Tyler, Perry, Elliott and the like, his front man image and on stage antics got him by. Now, it's fucking dumb and not being able to sing in time and tune sucks hairy donkey nuts. Hey Edward, ever hear of Michael Starr? You would be wise to get him in your band. He's spot on with with first 6 albums and no one want to hear Spammy screech away on the mic (God I can only take that motherfucker in short doses). Plus, he's an American, fronting an American band, not some 4'2" philipino in high heels on stage, Oh the shame and Humanity of it all.

I bought it, said I wouldn't,did. Im glad it sounds ssooooo much better on cd!! Dave still pretty rough but better. The band is kick ass, Ed sounds REAL BIG, Al n Wolf play better than ever. Backing vocals great, Ed pulls more weight there than I thought. Its Edwards best live performance of all I think.

Jeez - those were the worst live vocals I've ever seen. Absolutely off key, out of time, out of tune and screechy.

Hearing the "harmonies" of running with the devil was murder on the ears.

Sorry, I know people love DLR's "Diamond Dave" antics, but he's got to be the worst live vocalist I've ever seen.
