Of course he would. As long it doesn't call for Saudi Arabia taking any of these refugees in.

The Saudi royal family reigns very precariously. They won't bring in people who could upset the political balance of power, which many of these refugees would do. The royal family's rule and lives rest upon keeping order and bringing in people who might even remotely shake things up won't happen.

I think President Trump would have saved himself some grief if he would have had delayed the entry ban for a day or two to allow for those affected by it get in sync with the ban. He also just canned the acting AG who was going to attempt to halt the action. Washington is in for a rude awakening. Trump doesn't fuck around.

Another example of these hardworking, law'-abiding illegal aliens. Capture, Detain and Deport!

Heroin Ringleader Arrested In Florida Is An Illegal Immigrant On FOOD STAMPS! – VIDEO

A drug bust in the early hours of the morning nabbed a top leader of a heroin drug trafficking group in Polk County, Florida recently. While it didn't surprise many that the ringleader who was arrested is an illegal immigrant, what was surprising was that he had been receiving almost $900 a month in government issued food stamps.

Just so we're clear on this...

"For instance, the chance of an American being murdered in a terrorist attack caused by a refugee is 1 in 3.64 billion per year while the chance of being murdered in an attack committed by an illegal immigrant is an astronomical 1 in 10.9 billion per year."

https://www.cato.org/publications/policy-analysis/terrorism-immigration-risk-analysis

I'm fine with the deportation of illegal immigrants, but don't think for a second the refugee ban is going to have any discernible effect.

For your reading "pleasure," Drump fans.

"...the administration is testing the extent to which the DHS (and other executive agencies) can act and ignore orders from the other branches of government. This is as serious as it can possibly get: all of the arguments about whether order X or Y is unconstitutional mean nothing if elements of the government are executing them and the courts are being ignored.

Yesterday was the trial balloon for a coup d’état against the United States. It gave them useful information."

Another very interesting part of the piece:

"On Wednesday, Reuters reported (in great detail) how 19.5% of Rosneft, Russia’s state oil company, has been sold to parties unknown. This was done through a dizzying array of shell companies, so that the most that can be said with certainty now is that the money 'paying' for it was originally loaned out to the shell layers by VTB (the government’s official bank), even though it’s highly unclear who, if anyone, would be paying that loan back; and the recipients have been traced as far as some Cayman Islands shell companies.

Why is this interesting? Because the much-maligned Steele Dossier (the one with the golden showers in it) included the statement that Putin had offered Trump 19% of Rosneft if he became president and removed sanctions. The reason this is so interesting is that the dossier said this in July, and the sale didn’t happen until early December. And 19.5% sounds an awful lot like '19% plus a brokerage commission.'

Cue the "tinfoil hat" comments.

A lot of people think McDonald's is a good restaurant. Doesn't make them correct.

Also, you keep talking about Germany and Sweden. Germany had an "open door" policy. At no point has the U.S had anything close to that.

Sweden's going to deport those whose applications are denied. Those people would very likely never have gotten into the U.S. to begin with.

I invite you to address the stat that your chances of being killed by a refugee on US soil are 1 in 3.64 billion per year.

http://www.gq.com/story/aclu-anthony-romero-trumpimmigration-ban-trump

"...the incompetence with which they rolled out the executive order was breathtaking. The fact that government officials didn’t know how to apply it. That Customs and Border Protection agents were not briefed about how to deal with individuals coming into the country. That airport personnel were not trained, that the embassies were not given any guidance. That the government’s own lawyers didn’t know what arguments to make. When they were up in the court yesterday, it wasn’t even clear who was arguing for the government. This was a Keystone Kops moment for the Trump administration."

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/01/31/speaker-defends-trump-order-warns-protests.html
"Throughout the day Monday, as confusion continued at home and abroad over the scope and implementation of the order, White House officials led by press secretary Sean Spicer insisted that Hill Republicans were involved in drafting the order and were aware of it beforehand. Yet top aides to House GOP leaders repeatedly disputed that assertion, leaving it unclear what Spicer was talking about.

Finally late Monday, confirming some details of a report in Politico, the House Judiciary Committee said that some staff members had been "permitted" to lend their expertise on immigration to the Trump transition team. Yet leadership was not aware, and earlier in the day committee officials had said that the panel's chairman, Rep. Bob Goodlatte of Virginia, was not consulted on drafting the executive order, so the staff effort appeared to take place behind the backs of top House Republicans, an unusual circumstance."

No there isn't a hostage crisis. But something far worse, international terrorism stemming from the countries included in the temporary ban. Countries that were identified both by Congress and the Obama administration to having a high amount of terrorist activity.

Not to mention that transplanting these refugees to an entirely different culture with a different language and little prospect of having skills to obtain a job is not in the their best interest. Also what doesn't help is that a large percentage of the refugees are illiterate in their own language. It would be better to find them resettlement in their own region of the world as well as setting up "safe zones" as Trump is suggesting so that they can return to their country when the fighting has stopped. Then you have the issue that 95 million Americans cannot find work and some want to add more people to the pool. People that have many more challenges to finding work then the average American.
