SA mentioned CDs and possibly vinyl for the new year.
I am surprised that none of his previously released singles (riverside, hours in the day, faces, tin soldier etc.) are on here.

The_Noble_Cause wrote:Of the tracks, there's a Schon co-write (Desert Moon) and a Cain co-write (Never Far From Home).

They are holdouts. Augeri said he hoped to get Jon or Neal to play on a song or two. Obviously didn't happen.
Eric wrote:Yeah, Schon said he couldn't recall the track.
Eric wrote:I'd love to get Augeri's Lose Myself on an official package of his greatest hits. It might be my favorite song of his: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qThjr6XHAWE
(Just listened again as I typed this - God its gorgeous)
Journey/Survivor wrote:As much as I love Steve Augeri's singing I haven't paid super close attention to what songs or albums he has released outside of Journey.
I have the Tall Stories CD, but that's it outside of him with Journey.
Can one of you please fill me in on any of Steve Augeri's releases outside of Journey and the Tall Stories album, be it full albums or singles?
Thanks!

Since being fired from Journey, he has released a variety of singles. Most are available on YT or can be found on his website. Some are quite good. Some are half-baked or suffer from too many ideas.
As for non-Journey albums, you have:
Tall Stores (prolly a top 10 MR release for me)
Tyketto - Shine
Tyketto - Take Out and Served Up Live
Tall Stores 2 - Skyscraper (more diverse than 1, but sort of all over the place)
Seven Ways Til Sunday - his first official solo release out now. Fantastic!
A more extensive list can be found on Wikipedia.

It will be on CD later this month, I believe SA said it would be 1/27/23.

Heard Augeri's interview on the Rock Solid podcast. Great interview. Had forgotten about his album release. It's a really good album. Bought it and his singles after the podcast. I remember being a bit letdown after the 2nd Tall Stories album so I kind of lost track of Augeri. I really like the new album. Nice to have new music from him. A little variety on there, too. 4/5.

I've always appreciated your vocal insights. Curious on your take on some of these tracks. Some songs like Baited Breath or Never Far From Home sound like pristine SA in full voice. Other tracks like Desert Moon or Drive have that falsetto zipped up voice sound that he uses when he tours. Did you notice this?
