Their partnership produced sparks together with Perry as an anchor but that was a long time ago. Now they are left to their own devices, without management nor a strong songwriting partner.

With Cain's interest in religion expanding maybe Neal simply has too much time on his hands making him trigger happy with tweets like these? A passive aggression of sorts for having to sit at home when he wants to create and tour much more than Cain allows him to. Cain, on the other hand, knows the value of his stake and is hesitant to let go for monetary reasons, creating this forced co-existence when both parties would be better off on their own.

Cain was pretty clear in the Strang interview. There's going to be a 26-27 farewell tour, then he's going to move on to focus entirely on his ministry. He's 75 years old now. In 2 years he'll be 77 going on 78. There's no more new music for this band. Gregg Rolie won't be joining, he'll be 80 by then. When Jon leaves, Jason Derlatka will likely take over keys, and he is more than capable to sing. If you've ever heard him sing Girl Can't Help It, he mimics Perry's vocals very well. In my opinion he was added to the band with the future in mind. Of course Deen can sing the tunes. Whether Arnel leaves or not, only he knows. He did say early on that he will stay as long as they want him. But this would be a good time for him to move on if that's what he wants.
I believe the Neal/Jon conflict is/was legitimate, not conjured up for publicity.

You never know. They could record an EP as a farewell gift to the fans.

This has all been done before.
Journey has become a PR machine.
Anything to get cheap attention
Arnel shouldn't be roped into this mess.

I wish they had legitimate PR. Don't blame Journey. It's always one party making noise on Twitter.

I'll almost certainly go see Journey one last time before the stone is split forever, but we're such a far cry from where the band was in 2008-2014

I maintain Eclipse is their second or third best album ever and the Revelation tour was fucking awesome. The band was energized in a way they weren't in '05 or quite frankly even in '06 and '07 with Soto, with whom I saw Journey twice

Neal was running from one side of the stage to the other in '08 and he and Jon would go back-to-back during the outro of Keep On Runnin'." The setlist was superb, they'd play 3-5 new songs off Revelation. When I saw them in 2011, they did the same with Eclipse, although I never got to hear "Resonate."

AP was at the peak of his powers then

Since then, they've been phoning it in by comparison
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

Typical half truths for attention and clicks. So pathetic. I stand by what I heard. This is a farewell tour. I wouldn't be surprised if Arnel is done also.

Well, I think Arnel will be done.

I was not going to mention this until after it happened...just to be sure it did happen. But, Fil wrote me back and basically said he was going to do an analysis video on that autotune bit. I would expect him to do the entire concert video...I asked him to also look at a newer video to verify they are still using autotune, but he did not reply to that. I am not sure how long it takes him to do these...but it's pretty bad timing for Journey.

He just released a video about the Eagles, again...they are using prerecorded vocals that are tuned....for ALL lead vocals (not just Don Henley) AND even backup vocals. So, if you go to an Eagles concert - NONE of the vocals are live...and have not been for at least a couple years. Pretty crazy.

Musician who runs a YT website called "Wings of Pegasus". Channel is most known for exposing artists who use enhancements (auto-tune, lip-syncing etc) like The Eagles, Michael Buble, or fake vocal coach Ken Tamplin. Monker sent him some Augeri stuff at one point. It's a good channel

While I'm being a wise-ass and sarcastic for sure, I wouldn't mind if all Journey music and related materials were banned forever starting now simply so neither of those two fucking idiots could ever get another red cent from the proceeds.

I'm sick to death of Schon and Cain and want them to disappear from the public eye forever for what they've done to the legacy of the band.

They've made Journey into a joke that they can never recover from and should be forced to live out their lives without being able to profit from what little is left or even so much as mention the band ever again.
