I've always liked this band, crunchy riffs and some great sing along songs. "The world I Know" is one great tune in my opinion. Maybe Andrew can answer this. Why did Ross Childress leave the group or was he dismissed. I read a review of a show recently where they played the entire "Dosage" album but omitted the Childress song that was sung by him. Childress is sorely missed in this band. Ever since he was let go, the band hasn't put out a hit song or decent album.

From Wiki: "It was found out later that he (Childress) was ousted due to having an affair with Ed Roland's wife." Good riddance.

Has this been completely verified, or have there been only mere hints, allegations, and things left unsaid?

First two albums were strong the rest kind of sucked with the exception of the song Heavy. Actually I heard the last album they released sounded similar to their first few albums.

who knows, but I would NEVER trust wikipedia as a valid source of information. Way too easy for anyone to edit, including those delusional people with an agenda.

Same thing happened in Poison. Richie Kotzen had an affair with Rikki's (drummer) wife. I thought it might have been rumour too, but they talked about it in their (Poison's) Behind The Music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70RHJGRTOGY

Great answer Ehwmatt. I read that on Wiki, but like others said, I don't know the accuracy of it since anyone's able to edit the contents.

The first album after Childess called Youth was awesome. I'll be seeing them again next week

This first record was totally recorded by Ed Roland as a solo record and the band was put together after the demo was starting to get airplay and label interest.

The story of infidelity is true and has been confirmed many times indirectly with comments like "sometimes rumors are true".
