I'm not an Arnel apologist; I was extremely critical of his performance today and (perhaps too harshly) pointed out that his "solo career" needs to play a distant second fiddle to his obligations to Journey, especially if that is the reason he was relatively sub-par. I don't give two shits about his performances outside of Journey, and I bet most of the American public doesn't. either. Ergo, his voice needs to be saved and prioritized for the band who handed him a career on a silver platter.
