STM, we all know this thread won't die after the election...it will be full of the losing party accusing the winning party of "cheating" and the winning party accusing the losing party of being sore losers.....it will never die!

There is really no defending a sore loser, EVER. I didn't vote for W. in the last election, but didn't say a word about it, after the guy won. I still think he's a complete jackass and buffoon, but he's a complete jackass and buffoon, that the American people voted for! The truth of the matter is that McCain has already started the "sour grapes" campaign, about the money Obama has spent on this campaign. While I don't even disagree with McCain here, I think what he's doing is VERY counterproductive!

STAFF
Published: October 25, 2008
Vandals hit the Virginia Oaks neighborhood in Gainesville early Saturday, spray-painting anti-McCain profanity on at least 25 homes, the clubhouse and several big box stores in a nearby shopping center.
Police got the first call about 2:30 a.m., residents said. Many of the homes vandalized in the golf community at Lake Manassas had McCain-Palin signs in the front yard.
Most of the homes, garages and utility boxes were scrawled in red and black with “F--k McCain” but there were also several homes hit with “666” followed by “See What Happens.”
The culprits also struck at the nearby Virginia Gateway shopping center off U.S. 29, spray-painting outside Giant, Target and Best Buy with similar sentiments, residents said.
The vandalism comes a little more than a week before the Nov. 4 presidential election pitting Democrat Barack Obama against Republican John McCain. Traditionally Republican-leaning Virginia is considered a battleground state this political year. Last weekend, McCain rallied in Prince William County. On Monday, his vice presidential running mate Sarah Palin is set to speak in Fredericksburg.
Police are investigating. Stay with http://www.InsideNoVA.com and the News & Messenger for full coverage of this story.

Too late. Your candidate is losing.
Obama has never been involved whatsoever in any legal problems...Palin has three separate ONGOING ETHICS INVESTIGATIONS!!!!
You're both hypocrites. Go cry in your beers, and let the rest of us help make this country a better place, and turn everything around after the worst Presidency in history (George W).

Didn't say anything of the sort.
In light of recent events, I would hope people would approach all seemingly politically motivated crimes with a good measure of skepticism.Barb wrote:However, I was beyond annoyed at these people because they had their young children carrying these signs. Except when Palin trots a baby on a debate stage well past its bedtime, right?
Then it's ok.
With over a million in assets you'd think they could at least afford a babysitter.

You tell your daughter it was liberals who fought for auto safety standards as she buckled up for her first spin?

Do you ever turn the political switch off?Quite honestly, that was not my first concern with regard to her driving.

DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) - Syria's state-run television and witnesses say U.S. military helicopters have attacked an area along the country's border with Iraq, causing casualties.
The report quoted unnamed Syrian officials and said the area is near the Syrian border town of Abu Kamal. It gave no other details on Sunday's attack.
Local residents told The Associated Press by telephone that two helicopters carrying U.S. soldiers raided the village of Hwijeh, 10 miles inside Syria's border, killing seven people and wounding five.
The U.S. military in Baghdad had no immediate comment.

Of course it can. Apparently some bad guys took up residence in Syria, Syria wouldn't hand them over to us, so KABOOM go the bad guys.

We have been using Predator Drones in Paki for months and have targeted the tribal areas at least 15 times in the last 3 months with hellfire missles. You guys need to get with the program.

Musharraf approved the drone raids in Pakistan.
