"Kicking team player voluntarily out of bounds during a punt."
I can tell you in my 30+ years of watching NFL football, I have NEVER EVER EVER EVER once seen a single penalty called for a guy running out of bounds, unless he was the first player to touch the ball when coming back in bounds. I'm not questioning the rule book, but I can tell you that it's probably never once been called in the history of the NFL.
I saw it a few weeks ago. I can't think of the game but the guy ran waaaay out of bounds (on his own) and got called for it, and it nullified a long punt return. I just remember thinking to myself, "Why the fuck did he do that?!?!"I'll try to google it and find out ... while you're apologizing to S2M.

You're correct. I believe it MAY have been during a Steelers game. I remember one being called but can't exactly recall 100%. May have been against Pittsburgh for a player "running out of bounds."

Haha, but please don't insult me
