Remember every ticket you buy for a STYX concert is one more ticket away from the classic lineup
If you say yes to current Styx you are saying no to seeing Dennis back in the band.
Its time to shut JYS mouth for good,

Froy, aren't you forgetting something though.. without "Styx" touring, your man Dennis won't be making money either.

The lawsuit pretty much settled that. You don't think Dennis is getting a fair share of the money from their constant touring? You'd be niave to think he isn't. He is.

Yes you are upset and think that this lineup is a travesty. BUT they are still touring and the albums that Dennis did sing on ARE STILL selling quite well. Why do you think Styx Greatest Hits has sold double platinum in a day where people are downloading music like crazy?

It's because the name is still out there touring. He wrote a lot of the songs and is still getting royalties from those sales.

Would a reunited draw the fans like they did in 1996? More then likely yes. Would they be at the top of the charts again? Probably not. Will their albums sell gold? If Brave New World was any indication, no. Even if there was interest from a major label, they want to look forward with their artists, not backwards.

Styx could do another Grand Illusion or Paradise Theater album, and sadly radio and MTV wouldn't touch it.

JY is coming across as bitter (I think he should let it go myself it is getting old), Tommy's said his peace and has moved on, Chuck's said his peace, but I think there's more issues that are private in nature between him and Dennis, Glen has as well (although he's still a bit bitter over Suzie Young and Jeannie Shaw, but that within time will pass, but if Suzanne Deyoung says that Glen's wife can't go on tour with them.. LOOK OUT! lol) As for Todd, well IMHO Dennis never really thought of him as an actual member, so he doesn't have a say. In 96 and 97, he was the low man on da Styx totem pole.

Now Froy, one question for you. Would you have been upset if Styx would have hired a keyboard player in the 96 and 97 tours and let Dennis just sing his songs? That was an issue before that tour started.

Now.. also, IF Dennis comes back, burries the hatchet and just wants to be "lead singer" would you have an objection to Larry playing keyboards?

I know it's WHAT IF, but there's a lot of it going around.. like what if Journey decided to lip sync at their concerts? lol

Thanks Froy..

I'd like to chime in here :)

I personally wouldn't have an objection. I'd love to see Dennis out in front. I really miss those harmonies of Styx!! Just as long as Gowan doesn't go too crazy and spins too much - LOL I'd love to see Glen in the mix too :)

I just wish they all could be happy :)

My man Dennis ?
Are you a STYXfan Jodes ?
Why isn't Dennis your man?
This is not about money who cares about freakin money.

I careless.

Yes you are upset and think that this lineup is a travesty.

Yep no argument there ,

Styx could do another Grand Illusion or Paradise Theater album, and sadly radio and MTV wouldn't touch it.

No so sure that is true.

Yep

That was an issue before that tour started.

Who said it was an issue?
What would Dennis do during Shaws songs run off stage?
Where did this thing start ?
I do not believe it.

Now.. also, IF Dennis comes back, burries the hatchet and just wants to be "lead singer" would you have an objection to Larry playing keyboards?

YES
Gowan is a disgrace.
And Dennis is not the lead singer of STYX
He plays the oberhiem like no other
Thats his signature sound.
He returns to where he left off.

Thanks Froy..

Any time

Froy-

I'll continue to buy tickets to both.

If you want to live in misery, that's YOUR choice, not mine. It's pointless arguing with you, and there's no way in hell I am going to agree with you. It's great to have music on both sides, don't you get it?

Would you prefer silence? No music at all from these talented folks?

All in all, it's about the music. That's what got us here. If you can't handle the fact that there is music out there that isn't your view of Styx, well then maybe, you need to go listen to your past albums and live in the history of the music.

Me, I prefer listening to the new stuff, the old stuff, and anything in between.

Off to go buy more Gowan CD's,

Chris

That's great you just follow the crowd and enable Shaw and Young to destroy the STYX legacy.

It's pointless arguing with you,

You can't argue with me because IM RIGHT
How can you or anyone else say you are a STYX fan when you support a band that is not even the real band?

and there's no way in hell I am going to agree with you.

Then you are not a STYX fan you are a Shaw fan who happens to be in a band using the name STYX
IF SHAW quits are you still a STYX fan?

It's great to have music on both sides, don't you get it?

The only problem is one side is terrible and thats the side that uses the name.

Would you prefer silence?

I would prefer if the name STYX is used than the real STYX perform the music.

All in all, it's about the music. That's what got us here.

No all in all its about who performs the music and under what name.
If JY and SHAW quit and Gowan took over the band under the STYX name would you then agree with my point?

If you can't handle the fact that there is music out there that isn't your view of Styx, well then maybe, you need to go listen to your past albums and live in the history of the music.

OR BOYCOTT STYX in 2006
I will go with that.

Me, I prefer listening to the new stuff, the old stuff, and anything in between.

Really tell us about the new stuff you are listening to go ahead
I can't wait,

Off to go buy more Gowan CD's,

Just look in the garbage can there all in there save your money,
Gowan is just awefull .

So lets see,

We are going to boycott Froy huh? Good luck with that one. Love him or hate him, you know exactly what you are going to get. Choose to ignore his posts or support them, either way, he loves the line-up that made Styx relevant. It's your choice to accept a poser band sucking the blood from the franchise name or not. Not to say that you are wrong if you do, personally I like what Gowan brings to the table.

YAWN.

Hey, wait a second...Froy did say this in response to something I asked...

OC asked..
Would you prefer silence?

Froy replied...I would prefer if the name STYX is used than the real STYX perform the music.

So, you do prefer this band to silence. Then again, it is Styx out there performing.

And just so you can remember something Froy...I don't follow the crowd. I make up my own mind, and you're a troll.
