Just got home from Journey/Def Leppard

I must say that JSS did an exceptional job on lead vocals. No, he's no Perry or Augeri, but he made each tune his own in a way and did just fine, not to mention hes one hell of a showman/frontman, BUT........................

DEEN sang 3-4 tunes and the crowd was VERY impressed with his vocals. I heard many people comment on his singing. Great show all around, although when Johnathon Cain was playing guitar, you couldn't hear him for shit

Def Leppard put on a great show as well and the crowd was very involved.

What really impressed me was the amount of younger people (11-18 ) that were at the concert and even were singing along with the tunes. It's nice to see that some of the younger generation is still being raised the right way

I saw that Target Center concert too. Jeff Scott Soto is a good singer, and is engaging to the crowd, but clearly, 'Steveless' Journey lacks the vocal distinction so many fans expect. Deen sang very well on his songs and I also heard many comment on how good a singer he was and how much he sounded like Steve.

I thought the concert was good, but I think they aren't the same without Steve. They need him to return sometime in the future.

I also have seen Journey with Augeri live about 3 years ago or so and had the fortune to be able to be like 10 feet from the stage, so maybe I am biased, but Augeri was a fine frontman.

Yeah, he seemed to come into his own.
