I remember a couple of days after it happened...I put Sammy Hagar's Three Lock Box record on the turntable and "Remember The Heroes" came on. Strated ballin' right after that.

NIG-I was ok with the losing seasons up until last year. The Texans were building up as a new franchise. Last year was unbelievably dissapointing. As I said, it's only Week 1, so I am not giving up yet. :)

On 9/11 - I broke out DL's Gods of War - the quote from Ronald Reagan at the end was perfect for that day.

The media is not going to let anyone avoid it. Having the TV off is probably a good idea. I'll be with a bunch of kids that don't even remember it, so maybe that will help. God bless those lost and their families.

Gods Of War was another one I broke out. Made a cd with a bunch of "Battle cry" songs. Gods Of War, Liberty, Suite Madame Blue, Remember the Heroes, Edge Of The Blade are a few of the songs that were on there. Lost the cd though.
I remember the night of 9/11...I was walking to my car and I found a little American flag in the parking lot. Tattered and dirty...but I picked it up and put it in the book I was reading. That's where it is today. Kinda weird that THAT day is when I found it.

Its amazing how it all comes back...hubby dug there for months...the things he saw...he didn't tell me everything but what he did, I wish he didn't. These feelings are still so strong.

Liam...I need a strong one please :)

Now if she were to show a pic of herself, and she was hot, I too would take to calling her hun. Everytime I talk to her, she is pissed and bitchy. I stopped talking to her.

So...I did karoke. Did Every Rose Has It's Thorn as a warm up....got a nice round of applause for that. THEN...Separate Ways. Goddamn I was nervous and it was evident up until "To survive the tide..Love divides". WOW. The shakes. lol.
BUT...I got a standing ovation and even got some "That sounded like Steve Perry remarks". THAT made my night.
Near the end of the night...people were filing outta the bar and the DJ called me up without me putting my name up. Picked a song at random...so I ALSO sang "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin". That didn't go AS well as the other 2 (beer fucks with my throat) BUT...still in key and sounded ok. So I closed the night. haha.
That's my karoke story...and now I'm gona go drink.
