It's a sleeping pill. It works well for me! My first experience with it was a few years ago, right after Kirk had open heart surgery. My friend, a doctor, came to the ICU to see Kirk and I. I was exhausted, she handed me a half of a little white pill and told me to go home and take it. It was Ambien and I slept for about 13 hours straight! Now I love it, I don't use it often but I will when I have a run of insomia.

Wow, Kirk has had his share, hasn't he? I've used the over the counter- tylenol PMs and the like. I usually don't have too much trouble sleeping, sometimes, but not too often.

Yes he has, quadruple bypass at 33 years old and kidney transplant at 34, our youngest was 6 months old when he had open heart surgery. It was not a fun time for us. BUT, that's behind us now!

OTC's make me too groggy in the am. Ambien doesn't seem to.

That's one TOUGH dude in my opinion. Glad to hear stories like that actually have happy endings. Awesome that he is doing well. Here's to continued success. :D

Thank you! Kirk is doing well! OK, sounds corny but I've often said that Journey saved his life. OK, so maybe not literally but after both of his surgeries the only time that I saw him relax and not appear to be in pain was when he was listening to their music. I am a huge believer in alternative therapies, including music therapy and Kirk is living proof. Journey was his best drug  . He always had a goal of meeting them and he often said that he had to make it through all of this so that he could do that, and he has, he has met them briefly a few times. His cardiologist told me that he wouldn't live through open heart surgery and if he didn't have it he would only live for less than six months...that was five years ago!

I can't prank call alone, I need someone to give me encouragment. My favorite kind of prank call is to call friends and family on their b-days at midnight to wish them a happy b-day, but I don't know anyone with a birthday today except my nephew and he's just turning 1. I could call my sister and go on and on about how I can't believe it has been a whole year. His acutal birthday was fun cuz I delivered him!!! I've delivered lots of babies when the doctor didn't make it in time but he was on purpose, the doctor just stood by in case I needed help! It was awesome!

I'm sitting in bed typing on this site, watching Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again and laughing right out loud so hard it hurts and Kirk is asleep on the couch!! I feel like an idiot!

The only time I've ever spent in Arizona was at the Camelback Inn Spa, two spa treatments a day for three days, working out twice a day and soaking in the hot tub, cold plunge etc... It was very enjoyable!

its easy to fall into a rut here you dont want to move when its hot and the few months that are nice you just let slip by you so quickly plus its pretty cheap to live out here but thats changing now that all the californians started buying property for investments its more than doubled the prices of houses out here in the last 3 years
