And I have been drinking since New York City at noon on Amtrak after a weekend of live Journey shows.

No epis, just a second degree midline laceration and labial tear. I know, more than most wanted to know!!!!!!

Actually yulog, let me be more specific, it was a G 2 P 0010 pt that presented in active labor with EDC of 09/29/06, SVE revealed her to be 5/90/0, vertex presentation with intact membranes. Epidural anesthesia was placed and found to be adequate, AROM preformed with moderate meconium stained fluid, cvx then 6/90/0. Pt progressed to complete diliation at 0119 and pushing started at 0130. NSVD of viable male infant over 2 degree MLL with right labial tear at 0245. (BTW, I do not enjoy pushing primips, labor down till ya crown is my motto-but she couldn't tolerate the pelvic pressure) Infant was delee sx on perineum for 4 cc green fluid, placed on maternal abdomen, cord double clamped and cut by MD babe with spontaneous vigorous cry, to waiting NICU RN. Apgars were 8 and 9 at 1 and 5 min respectively. MLL was repaired with 3-0 vicryl in the usual fashion. Intact placenta delivered spontaneously and was sent to pathology. IV pitocin bolus started. Mother and infant are recovering in stable condition.

Interpret that and then tell me you work in a toll booth you little SOB!! :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink:

Ah-ha, gottcha! Didn't you read, presented in active labor...pitocin bolus started after delivery of intact placenta. Although pitocin augmentation was started after epidural, started at 2 mU/min via IV pump and increased by 2 mU/min q 30 min x 3. Also forgot to mention, GBS status initially unknown so pt was tx with PCN 5 million units IVPB x 1 dose then GBS confirmed with lab to be negative. No further abx tx needed.

Well then, I won't go into the details of the G 3 P 2002 pt with hx of NSVD x 1 and LTCS x1 that desired TOLAC, that came in at 0530. :lol: :lol: :lol:
