Styxman - I've never heard that song before! Sounds like a bit like Jim Steinman tune...I could imagine Meatloaf or Bonne Tyler doing this.

Are you from the UK? Just seen the Journey dates next year - and they're coming to London! Fantastic news...

Must remember to book the tickets as soon as they bewcome available.

Hi Matthew,

Yep UK, I'm not gonna mention the Tour dates, bone of contention with me livin' in Scotland, I think there's a gagging order on the dates still so we best not go there until we get the all fucking clear from the UK crew
That song was pretty cool at the time and I'm sure it did well in the states rather than the UK, would have also been a good track for Chicago to cover.

Thanks again

But these are different from all those old-style bluegrass songs that drove you crazy a while back! Country is all power ballads and stadium-sized anthems nowadays....it's the new AOR!

Always happy to hear Anthrax though.... :)

Styxman - but I got sent an official e-mail today from the agency the Journey organisation use which offer priority tickets.

Also - a bone of contention? Journey played in Edinburgh this year so I had to schlep a million miles to see them there. This time it's your turn to get on that train! :)

It is strange they're not playing Edinburgh - or even Glasgow - given the amazing reception they got this year from the Scots.

It'll be great seeing them at the Hammersmith Odeon though - such a legendary venue - and they last played there in December 1980 I think.

Absolutely, I'm hoping it's no room at the inn up here during their visit, as yes they did getting an absolute massive reception in Haggis land. I'm not bitter I just hate travellin' by train :x

I know...it's a drag and a rip-off isn't it? Still...sounds like the concert will be worth the grief....

Why oh why didn't Journey finish this song off and put it on ROR? It would have been perfect for Side Two.

Dave - I'm not sure they were into the Satanic posturing that much. Didn't they fancy themselves as being a bit poiltical and 'aware'?
