Ummm...Yes.

Cannibal Corpse is one of the most disgusting bands out there. Their lyrics are about as sickening as you can get...and the video you linked to is actually tame in comparison to some of their other stuff. I read the lyrics to one of their songs online a while back and I literally could not eat a hamburger for a while thereafter without getting physically sick.

Never had the opportunity to watch the full episode. Can't find it on the net unfortunately.

Now listening to
Trademark - Eric Johnson (from Ah, Via Musicom)
This guy has the best guitar tone I ever heard. Layered, textured down so well I can listen forever.

So true - but I was trying to be reasonably considerate to the group. :)

I read up a bit on death metal a while back and it seems the most respected and musically accomplished band were called...Death.

They sound a bit like a 'progressive metal' act...although the vocals are still pretty low on charm:

Lack of Comprehension - Death

Yeah, I've heard of them. Some of their lyrics can also be rather macabre and occultic. Of course, that's the whole purpose of the genre, so there you go.

That stuff's just a little too heavy for my taste, though Death seems to have at least some melody in their music, unlike a band like Cannibal Corpse.
