Lilla_Forever wrote:Yes it is :) Very much comparable to those two. Isn't it in The Decline... that Chris Holmes downs two full bottles of vodka in his swimming pool, in front of his mother?

 That's the one LF. The director Penelope Spheeris has said that she'd thought at the time that the interview had been a total disaster...that they'd left Holmes' house thinking they'd wasted a day's filming. Now of course it's the one scene everyone remembers.

Haven't watched the DVD sadly, only the version shown on Danish TV. You are right about Lars' dad, Torben. He is a real character. He used to be a tennis pro (I don't know if you know this). Actually my late grandmother and he were peripheral friends when they were teenagers, and she used to say that he changed...a lot!

How funny! I wonder if he gew that stange beard after Lars became a successful rock star?

It's worth seeing the DVD extras...some great moments...such as Lars' son going on stage to throw a Spiderman web out on the audience and the crowd getting the wrong idea thinking he was doing the devil sign...plus there's an extended clip of that TRAGIC therapy session with Dave Mustaine...and the collaboration between Metallica and Jah Rule the rap star when Bob Rock embarrasses himself by trying to be 'street'....

Talking of great rock documentaries...have you seen Dig?

No, haven't seen that one unfortunately, just took a look at IMDB and it seems interesting. And only £10 at Amazon...

LF - the star of Dig (Anton from Brian Jonestown Massacre) makes Chris Holmes look like a model of sanity. Very dark but funny documentary...well worth renting...even if you're not a fan of that type of music..which I'm not...although it did convert me to some BJM stuff.

I'm saying it's an ok recording. Considering the problems from the night, in the form of rain, and the crowd chatter, it's not too bad, really.

I love Motley but, this is by far the worst song they play IMO. They even know it's bad, the last 4 or 5 times I have seen them live no SITHBR. Thank god for that.
