You haven't heard the song "Hero" from the Spiderman soundtrack?

Hero ~ Nickelback...I couldn't find the actual video for this song, so this is one with footage from "The Return of the King".

Check out this song, Matthew. It's called "Rock Star" but Nickelback. Great lyrics about being a rock star.

I have his first solo (out of print I believe) but NOT Roots. How embarrassing. I've yet to hear a negative comment about it.

Everyone keeps telling me to listen to Nickelback, "they're the best current band", "I'll love them", blah blah blah. To me they're like Kurt Cobain extralight or Creed light. All these bands of today sound the same. All their lead vocalists mimic each other & all their songs blend into each other. They're not unpleasant, just uninspiring. "Far Away" sounds just like "Hero" sounds like "If Everyone Cared".

Sigh. I miss when music was original & there were bands like Journey on the airwaves.

Agree completely JRox

I am listening to ELO part II - Telephone Line 7/3/2000 (No Jeff Lynne, still awesome - all the harmonies & strings)

Sorry, I have to disagree with you. Nickelback is one of the best band's ( for newer music) I've heard in awhile! I like their stuff! The song I posted is my current fave! :D

Well what do u expect? I'm stuck in the 80s, listening to Perry every chance I get. I just can't get enough of the man's voice. It's perfect. Everything else pales in comparison.

I was making a feeble joke in response to TVL's earlier post....not worth explaining. :)

Yes - I know "Hero" and their other big hit...I can't remember what it was called though.

Strange track, isn't it TVL? The Voice didn't feature as much as I'd hoped. Just a slight warble in the background....

Cheers NIG - I haven't heard that song before - and of all the photos in that montage Whitesnake are still the most preposterous looking 80s rock band, don't you think?

The lyrics reminded me of this one...
