Love that song and that album, Rescue You. Here's the video for it.

Now, JLT would have been an intriguing choice for Journey singer.

Thanks NIG :) I have seen it before, vintage 80's. I have just decided on buying the album from Amazon. I agree with you regarding Turner as a possibility as Journey frontman. I think he would have no problems with most of the material, even though his voice is slightly lower than Perry's. And of course, any new material would be dynamite, with Schon's guitar and JLT singing.

I reckon JLT would have been a great choice for Journey too. This is my favourite JLT performance....

One of my favourites also. Another Rainbow tune he just nails is Can't Let You Go from Bent Out Of Shape. He gives it all on that one!

Here is the video! Enjoy.

Listening to that The Storm track just posted elsewhere, great stuff! It's such a drag that these albums by unknown US artists by European standards are so hard to come by over here. I'm sad to say that most Europeans, and certainly Scandinavians, aren't into US melodic rock that much (Journey, Kansas, Foreigner, Boston), at least that's my experience...

I haven't heard that in years! What a great song. I'm going to buy that on iTunes now. So good to hear the Street of Dreams stuff again - I went to my very first concert on that tour....

This is another good JLT vocal....

Yes - it's the same in the UK - American melodic rock is seen as a guilty pleasure at best by most people....

Good move Matthew :) CLYG is one of my absolute favourite Rainbow songs. Speaking of availability, I was actually fortunate enough to find Bent Out Of Shape in a Copenhagen record store for only 4£, pretty cool. It's a wonderful album, actually recorded in Copenhagen at Sweet Silence Studios where Metallica also has recorded.

Really cool that you managed to see Rainbow in action! I am unfortunately too young for that (I'm 28 ) :?

Yup Stone Cold is another winner, they played it on VH1 Classic the other day.

Yes, isn't it amazing how anything remotely upbeat within the (hard) rock genre is completely out of fashion? It's Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys or bust appearently
