Anybody Interested In Against The Wall

Postby Schon Rules All » Fri Oct 20, 2006 9:16 pm

Tried this at BT.... One of my final post I guess... Hope there is room for it here :D

With the bonus tracks finally released I made a set list to what I thought Steve's Second solo album should of sounded like. If you follow this track list exactly you will find a very smooth flowing cd. All you need is a cd burner and all three steve perry releases and you have against the wall!!!
here is the track listing that I made...

1-Against The Wall
2-Cant Stop
3-When Your In Love (For The First Time)
4-My My My
5-Dont Tell Me Why Your Leaving
6-Dont Fight It
7-Once In A Lifetime Girl
8-Makes No Difference
9-If You Need Me, Call Me (New Version)
10-Summer Of uv
11-Friends Of Mine
12-I Stand Alone
13-Harmony
14-Melody
15-If only for the moment girl
16-Forever right Or wrong
17-What Was
18-One More Time

Tell me what you think... and please dont overstate the obvious that the songs were released at different time periods for different things, everyone knows that. This listing just makes for a really great album. Some of these songs like against the wall I could never get into and I think it had something to do with album placement... enjoy
I want a new tour bus filled with old guitars...

I like your list. This is what I did. I sat down and in my mind tried to come up with the Against the Wall set list. Then I burned the cd with artwork from different places.

1. When You're in Love
2. If You Need Me, Call Me
3. Melody
4. Against the Wall
5. Can't Stop
6. Once in a Lifetime Girl
7. Congratulations
8. Summer of Luv
9. Forever Right or Wrong
10. Friends of Mine
11. What Was

Great set list, I would sure love to see this one live. I pay just about anything to see that man perform "One More Time".

Sorry to dig this one up from the vault, but what is "Congratulations"? I've never heard of it...was it on some soundtrack or something?

I have to give credit to my good friend Sallee & my blessed forum sister Sherrie (who had better be a grandmommy again today) for almost all of what I have. That particular gem came from the lovely Sherrie.

I have a LOT of Journey songs, a LOT of Perry songs, & now an incredible collection of Jeff's work too (altho not quite complete yet). The Jeff collection is thanks to my friend who is not on this forum. If there's anything u want, just holler my name!

U HAVE to get into Talisman too Carol. I am so Talismanized now (so Behshad tells me anyway :-)) They have SOOO much stuff. From Motown Sam Cooke-ish stuff to a song in Spanish to rockers to ballads to unique totally cool sounding pieces. I mean they did EVERYTHING. There is ABSOLUTELY no good reason some of these songs wouldn't have gone straight to the top of the charts here in the US.

I can't believe didn't include Lost Angels on any release. That is a great great tune.

OTM

In Journeydom, this is one of the heaviest tracks out there. Great melody, heavy guitars, edgy vocals. Some serious cash would've been paid for this one if released as a single.
