Thanks for asking Moon! Still hurts like a Mother Bear! Lortab doesn't touch it-nothing does! I don't think they are actual migraines cuz noe of the migraine meds touch it either. I tried to get Kirk to just shoot me in the head and put me out of my misery but he won't cuz he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in prison! So, I'm going to a neurologist on Monday.

get thee to physical therapy and traction. you're doctor will disagree but get him to write you a scritp so your insurance will pay. I had a migraine for a year and it took six months for the chiropractor AND physical therapy to straighten and re-align my 'military neck'. (straight as an arrow--it's supposed to curve forward) neck tension it was it was. then go to regular massage therapy. find out what messes with your neck and then don't do it. (hehe) I can't sit on the couch for a long time or lay on the floor with my arm propping my head. I have asked the hubster to kill me. so that means neck massage Kirk. I'm so sorry. I really can feel your pain.

Have you read the book "Heal Your Headache"? Here's a link to it on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Heal-Your-Headach ... F8&s=books

I am a migraine sufferer, and my neurologist recommended it to me because her patients found it very helpful. Following several suggestions from the book made a HUGE difference in cutting down the number of migraines I get. When I do get a migraine, it's all about the Imitrex for me. It costs me $30 a pill, but it's worth every penny!

Thanks, I'll check it out. I've tried nearly every alternative thearpy out there-I am much more into alternative therapies than medications but nothing has worked yet. I've also tried migraine meds but none have helped. I have MD friends that have given me samples of every migraine med out there, nothing has helped.

OK, enough about headaches, who's drunk?????

Nat, have you tried Maxalt? My wife uses it and it is a miracle.

Yep, didn't work. I think a bullet to the head is the only answer!

It appears I am drinking alone. Sigh. I had to mix up a Bacardi and diet coke to take off the edge while I gathered all of my tax info to take to the CPA tomorrow. Let's pray for a refund to pay for the Florida trip!!

As the resident physical therapist, I would NOT recommend any type of cervical traction that is not delivered in by a therapist trained in manual techniques. Mechanical cervical traction is a waste of time. And avoid the chiropractor. Trust me.

I have tried massage therapy but it doesn't help. I can tell that it's not a chiropractor/PT problem though. I'll stick to my visit with the neurologist on Monday.

You might very well have a cervical impingement that is contributing to your headaches. What about TMJ? Do you have a problem with that? It often leads to referred pain that manifests as migraines/severe headaches.

sorry to hear that..my condolences. When news like that is heard it is a reminder to us that we wont know when or where our time will come. Have you read the book Tuesdays With Morrie? ...He was a teacher who wanted to leave the world with his most important last lesson....... to live like you are dying....life isnt about money or material possessions...it's about your relationships with yourself and with other people....how you treat them...what you do for others..... and to freely give and receive love. We should tell people and show them we love them ...like we were dying...because, after all,....we all are. Also try to do the most you can...go for your goals...what do you want to do with the rest of your life? It's never too late to start. What mark do you want to leave on the world and on peoples memories of you? :)
